Anyone have the just the 2 of you for the wedding???

Recommended Posts

futurana, my plan is to have the pics of me getting ready. I'm not sure who my photographer is going to be yet but regardless male or female, I do plan on getting a few pics taken of me getting ready. I just think those pics are cool. As far as the vows go, I do plan on writing my own. I don't quite know what I'm going to say yet, but, I don't think it matters that you all aren't that creative, I'm sure you can just say something like " I knew from the moment I met you that you were special.... You're my best friend...." you know all that stuff people say, lol.

Having only two people would be so romantic. The way I'm feeling right now that would probably be a good idea. I'm tired of having to listen to everyone's opinion about how "my" wedding should be. I want to enjoy the day and not have to worry about pleasing everyone else.

Kudos to those planning a 2 person wedding... you get to be alone and enjoy your special day!

My FI and are doing the same thing. We're only have a small Destination Wedding. We're going to have the Wedding Video Taped and then when we get home we'll have a party with all of our friends and family show the video and then everyone that couldn't come will get to see it. This way we get to visit with everyone and tell stories about the wedding.

I also want to know what kind of dress everyone is wearing. I want a simple, not too heavy and I don't want one of those elaborate wedding dresses, I still want a long, white dress but Im having a hard time finding one. any suggestions will be greatly appreciate it!

Have you looked at Nordstroms?
http://shop.nordstrom.com/women/wedding-dresses.shtml
This online shop has an "informal" section: Informal Wedding Dresses :: House of Brides
I got mine on ebay, it was by Raylia and I was searching using "destination wedding dress", you could try that! ;-) I posted mine on the dress thread. Best of luck!

I actually did!!! I have been looking at Nordstrom as I saw they have a nice selection of dresses. And i actually went into the store but they told me those dresses are only sold online(bummer) because I like to try things on before I buy...but I think Nordstrom has what I am looking for. I'll keep looking though but will keep at the top of my list.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
