I have decided to use the Pirates of the Bay dinner/booze cruise as our one and only group activity before we tie the knot.

We booked our evening dinner/booze cruise through Vallarta Adventures in which I understand is a very reputable company that organizes/coordinates fantastic excursions.

I would like to get some feedback from anyone that has been on the evening cruise.

Thanks,

Heather

Hi Heather,

Not sure about the night time booze cruise, but we did a day excursion to Las Caletas when we were in PV last December and it was great. Good service, awesome food and lots of drinks!

Also, they did a good job of getting everyone involved and active. I think it's probably a great idea for groups.

Good luck!

We have done the Pirates of the Bay night time cruse and loved it !!! The entertainment is awesome they keep it very lively, the drinks were good not watered down at all and the food was top notch !!!the only draw back was that the dinner takes place in the galley of the ship geting down and back up again up the skinny latter can be tricky if you had a few !!! and it very very warm down below

Hey - I wasn't able to do the Pirates of the Bay trip by my family did. About 8 members total went and absolutely loved it! They said the food was great and only had wonderful things to say. It looks like so much fun.

On Vallarta Adventures - I also used them for Caletas and they were great. They have a good reputation down there.

I've done the pirate of the bay.. and its a lot of fun and worth going with a big group! We are doing it one night also with our guest.. the only thing that i regret doing is drinking too early and didnt hear that dinner was ready and missed the feast.. by the time we got down there.. dinner was over.. sad.gif

i wont make that mistake again!

My fiance and I went on the pirate ship/booze cruise 2 years ago and we didn't enjoy it at all. We felt it was like drunken aerobics. The girl next to me drank too much and barfed. Dinner was okay, but my fiance got really sick the next 24 hours and he missed a whole day of tropical sunshine stuck in the hotel room. I was fine and had no stomach issues whatsoever.

I know with events like this it varies with each person's experience. Because of ours we will definitely not go back.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
