Oriental Trading Company Neon Tote

Recommended Posts

Hi there everyone!

I just got the OTC catalog in the mail and can across these bags:

Neon Tote Bags

I was just wondering if anyone has bought these or know what the quality was like. For only $7.95, the price is great but I am unsure of the quality.

Thanks for any input!

They're probably the same quality as the bags I bought - it's not fantastic, but it's not bad either! If you want a simple bag to throw your pool/beach stuff in and go they're great...but probably won't last you a super long time.

I was thinking that I may just buy a dozen also and see how they are. If they are not as nice as I would like, I will return them. I figured they are $7.99 a dozen so they won't be the best quality, but they may be fine for the OOT bags.

lol, I was wondering the same thing when I came across them yesterday! It's a really good price though. I don't think they'd be the best quality, but they'd do just fine for your wedding week. My feelings are that my guests might just through their bags off to the side when they get home and barely ever look at them again! I think they're great, epecially for that price!

I just got my bags the other day. They are not the best quality, but would be fine for an OOT bag. They are made of polyester, not canvas, but are very light weight for packing in your suitcases and for your guests to take to the beach. I am happy with them, especially since they were only $7.95 for 12. I bought 2 pkgs, but am not sure if I will need them all. If someone needs a few, let me know. I will also post a picture of them soon.

I tested the bags for you Courtney. They can hold 2 rolled up towels with a bit of extra room. I also put 10 cans of soup inside a bag and lifted it up. I was suprised at how sturdy it was with all of that weight. It did not feel as though it would break a seam open or anything! muscle.gif

I got a few pics. This first one shows a towel rolled up in the bag and approx 1 1/2 inch of extra room above the towel, as well as my sunglasses to help show the size of the bag.

This second pic shows how the material is a bit see-through. You can notice the lines of the duvet cover through the bag. I do not feel that this is a big deal. They are super light weight and a great price. I am happy with them and do not plan to return them at all.

I hope this helps a bit!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
