Getting Wisdom Teeth Out

Recommended Posts

Sooo, I just made an appointment to go have my wisdom teeth taken out next Thursday (2 impacted and 1 regular). I will be through with my finals on Tuesday so that will be over and then I will have a whole month to recover before my trip to Mexico June 9th. I'm very nervous though! smile41.gif

Ahh - I haven't had mine out either. My dentist said I could wait a year.... but that was a year ago! lol. I'm such a massive wimp. Plus, if they're so wise then why do we get rid of them?

Good luck! Please tell me afterwards that it was a delightful, painless procedure!

HA! Wasn't bad my butt! BUT, the thing you must know is that they say taking birth control gives you dry sockets... and it sure did for me. All four. Worst pain ever.

Again, but... my dad just had his removed on Monday. Very funny when drugged up... but he just went in today with dry sockets. Only one though. Lucky!

I got dry sockets tooo!!!!!!! It SUCKED big time. BUt for me it happened when I went in 1.5 weeks later to get them checked and cleaned and the new lady stuck the sucker upper deal in the hole and sucked the blood clot out. I'm normally pretty calm and non confrontational but I was ready to smack that lady in the head it hurt so bad. Then I was so rude to her and my poor mom is sitting there all embarassed by the way her 20yr old kid is acting.

So, yeah, good luck with that rolleyes.gif

I got my teeth pulled out and it was not a huge deal. I was up and ready about 3 hours later. Couldnâ€t really eat anything, but I was okay. I think what sucks is having a root canal. That was not good time.

I had all four impacted take out over spring break my sophomore year...it was not that bad, however I was swollen very badly and did get those nasty yellow bruises, just make sure you clean them out and follow all the docs orders.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
