Yikes! My best friend and her boyfriend both got dry sockets so I'm familiar with the painful stories!! Geez, the list of things that could go wrong was a mile long but the doctor was very nice and seemed extremely professional and competent. He did mention the correlation between antibiotics and b/c but not between dry socket and b/c. Hmmm...

I had all 4 taken out when I was 16. It wasn't that bad bc they knock you out. I agree the root canal procedure is worse - but I think the recovery for wisdom teeth is longer and less fun. Don't worry - just follow the doctor's orders and you will be fine!

I'm kinda late on this but seriously don't worry it will be fine. It may be uncomfortable for a couple days after, and youll probably have some puffy cheeks. Just don't poke them.

Are you getting put under? I was and it was great, pretty cool. I woke up and I had a weird sog stuck in my head and then they filled my mouth with lots of gauze. I was pretty drugged up on T3s too! make sure you eat with them!! Or else you can become very dellusional, as I did, and decide to dye your hair black. BIG MISTAKE HAHAHAH

i was so scared - but it ended up being no big deal. i had 2 impacted too. i came home, i took the first pain pill, but none of the ones after that. i never was in any pain, or never got dry sockets or anything - and i am on the pill! everyone has a different reaction - but it seems that most people end up saying it wasn't as bad as they thought it would be afterwards.

Oh, make sure you take a photo when you get home! The puffy cheeks are hilarious a few months later when you forget about the pain.

I must say, even with my dry sockets, the pain did go away very quickly. It wasn't a week long pain or anything. Just when the doctor took out the packing stuff... without numbing me... my reaction was probably VERY similar to Tara's!

I had all 4 of mine taken out in two sessions. I had it done in Mexico as it was MUCH cheaper. I had it done last year. The dentist was incredible. He didn't knock me out but he did give me something like 4 or 5 injections on each side.

He was really careful and actually cracked the teeth in four and then just kind of lifted each part out. I had no swelling and almost no pain. It took about 2 hours. I went in arround 9 in the morning and by 5 in the afternoon I was sucking on Paletas. They really helped. Paletas=popscicles.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
