Wedding pics from Dreams, PC

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies, I've just posted my professional pics from my wedding at Dreams, Punta Cana. We were married November 24, 2008 and had a great time at Dreams. Misti, our photographer, travelled from Nashville to shoot our wedding and Chicka's wedding (hers was November 25, 200cool.gif.

The pics are amazing! Thanks so much for posting these.

I do have a question for you regarding Dreams PUJ... it looks like you had quite a few people there with you. Where did you have your reception dinner? Also, was there a set menu that you had? Or did your guest have choices at the reception? Im wondering if I should email my WC and ask this, i just don't want to have to run around the day before the wedding to ask everyone what their meal choice will be last minute!!

Just let me know! Thanks again!

Hi Dreamsbride09, we had our ceremony and the reception indoors because of rain. It was unfortunate, but what are you going do? The original plan was to get married in the Gazebo and have our reception on the patio outside of the Japanese restaurant. Our group was 44 in total and the patio easily accomodated a group this size. As for dinner, there are set menus that you can select before you go, or with the WC once you arrive all based on the level you have chosen (silver, gold, platinum, etc). There is some flexibility allowed (i.e. we didn't want the soup course and substituted it for a seafood platter -- we didn't quite get that, but again, what are you going to do!?). I posted a review (it's in the BDW General section) a little while ago which goes into more detail. Have a read, or if you can't find it, let me know and I'll post the link. Good luck with your wedding planning -- Dreams is a good choice :)

Lucy,

You have beautiful pics!!

Bryan and I have been looking at Dreams Resort and I was just wondering if your hotographer, the one you mentioned, was the one provided or if you paid extra.

This is my first time on the site and have a billion questions and am just getting started with all the planning.

Bryan and I really love the resort but just don't know what to expect. I just would love for all the pics to be perfect.

Please help:)

Hi Haskinl,

We didn't use the resort photographer. Another bride (who I met on this forum) and I shared a photographer. Her name is Misti Abner and this really helped bring our costs down. We were both very happy with the pictures. If you follow the link at the top of this thread, it will take you to her site (Expressions by Misti) and you can see some more of her work. As for Dreams, no resort is perfect, and neither is Dreams, but all in all, we had a great experience and don't regret chosing this resort. Here's the link to my review which goes into further detail. This area of the site is a wealth of knowledge as you can hear about other couple's experiences at different resorts too.

Good luck with your planning and if you have more questions about Dreams PC, feel free to ask!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
