Oh I remember that talk,
"Daddy you wanted to help with photography... this is the one I'm going with I put down the down payment"
..... silence
"Dad"

"why?"

"cuz I really liked her and she has what I want and its the one thing I really want"

"I'll give you x amount"

"But thats not even a third of the cost"

"you could have got so in so to do it for free"

"yes but I wanted professional pictures"

"fine but all I can give you is x amount"

I should have racked up 20,000 of Court cost, like my brother.... or went to a big university like my other brother and got 20,000 a year

Nope I got a scholarship to collage and went into the military and have never asked for anything until now....

Whatever!

(sorry rant)

Jenamie.....

Thank you for that post! I mean it. I just had a similar meltdown with my dad and needed to read something like that.

We weren't going to have a jack and jill party, but looks like we are in May to use the cash towards are Jamaica wedding.

I've never asked for much and my sister got everything.... younger sister.

Now I wished I was a whiny baby too!! Cause now it's time for something important for me....my DW and noone can "step up to the plate". Her one day ridiculous event was more than what i'm asking for 2 weeks in Jamaica and even with the help of my FI's dad paying half of it.

OK, i'm done ranting too...

I contacted him by email. He is really cool, and his pricing is great! He sent me a contract confirmation after I paid the deposit and the cool thing is only 1/3 of the package price is due as the deposit. The rest is due the day of the shoot. Of course he'll take it b4 that day if you want. He even threw in a little something extra, which meant the world to me because Sandals won't let him in unless I pay for him as a guest.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
