Vendors in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos

Recommended Posts

Our wedding is in 4 1/2 weeks in Providenciales, Turks&Caicos. We've figured out a lot of things in a short span of time but we still need to find a florist, cake and dj. Does anyone have vendor recommendations for Provo? We're going to do a visit to the island in the next week or so and would meet with any suggested vendors then.

Thanks in advance!

The best tasting and looking cakes hands down are from Diane Guess. You can email her at guess@express.tc

Her cakes are gorgeous and are the most mouth watering things around. (all of the local expats use her for any and all occasions). She has lovely flavors and really yummy frostings and fillings as well. (she did my 40th birthday cake, 2 layers of chocolate cake with a middle cheesecake layer with gold flecked chocolate buttons....amazing).

Every wedding we shoot her cakes, there is none left over...she really takes pride in her cakes not just from how they look but how they taste. Be aware that you won't get a Fondant covered option from her as working here and keeping a cake chilled so the fondant doesn't fall apart just isn't a great option. On the plus side her buttercream frosting is amazing and she really does a smooth finish on the cakes (can you tell I love her cake?) She doesn't have a website, but she can email you sample photos etc of things she has done. (she makes her own sugared seashells and pearls and also does this amazing bamboo styled cake as well). Very artistic.

If you are visiting, she can meet with you and see what you are looking for. Florist wise, I haven't seen any that stand out more than others, but we have a new florist that has just opened on island at Christmas and they are located in the kiosk in front of the IGA and I think they are opening at the Ports of Call. The flowers that have been on display have been really unusual and lovely. I know through friends that the girl running it is very switched on. I'll see if I can find a name and number. I recently got some great lillies from there and the arrangement was really modern and well done. If your on island, it's to the left as you enter IGA.

Can't help on DJ's, I tend to pay attention to cake at the weddings and shooting, but I would ask your coordinator or your hotel

Hope that helps.

Hi Karol,

I was doing my grocery shop this morning and picked up Louise's card from the flower shop.

The company is Flowers by Environmental Arts. The manager/florist is Louise Henderson and her email is louise@environmentalarts.tc

She said they can get anything in (a first for this island!) and they also rent out their glassware etc...(which is really nice). You can give her a shout to see if the pricing works for you on what you want.

Hope that helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
