I am thinking cute sandals or flips flops, and then kick em off before I get down the isle for adding flair! My colors are teal and chocolate and I got matching fans at Asian Imports for super cheap and the colors are amazing! $.90 a piece! Hand Fans

I looked around a lot and these were the best deal and I love the colors!!! They are perfect!

I'm probably going to go barefoot, but I'm having my options covered!

I'm getting some super comfy custom Goddess Sandals that match the style of my dress, and I'm also attempting to make some barefoot sandals (ignore the wires sticking out everywhere, I haven't snipped them yet):

I decided against wedges because I didn't want to be taller than my FI, and I also find that they can be hard to walk with depending on how hard-packed the sand is (if I was super short, I'm sure I would've gone for them though!).

I was thinking of going barefoot too... i had never heard of barefoot sandals before this forum! What a great idea! I will definitely check that out - for those of you who had them, any advise or recommendations on who/where to buy from? i absolutely love the look!

I recommend hemming your dress with a heel that is no more than 2 - 2.5 inches and make sure it looks good before you wrap up loose ends there. That way if u wear something flat on the beach or barefoot, it will not reflect badly when you have to take photos that require walking in your other shoes for photos.

originally i thought i was going to do a flat flip-flop... but im short 5"4 and FI is about 6"0 so i opted out of the flipflops and went for a wedge.. i will let u know how it goes.. but im happy with my choice ad i know that the wedge isnt going to sink in the sand like a heel would... im thinking about doing a small candy favour as well as a simple fan for the guests.......

Has anyone else had issues with getting the resort to put chairs on the beach for you?

I am wearing a sandal with a small heal. i would have opted for barefoot, but I am too short to get away with it. I say go with how you feel comfortable. If you go with sandals, make sure they are not too high, you dont want to do a balancing act on the way to the alter (my worst nightmare..lol)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
