Jamaica forum - help me organize

I might be the only Breezes Grand Negril Bride, but if there are more I'd love to see a thread for us!

Hey Carly - maybe a Riu Palace Tropical Bay thread? There weren't too many aroudn when I was planning my wedding, but I've seen a few more floating around lately. Maybe split the forum into cities as well? Montego Bay and Negril? I dunno, just throwing it out there!

You are not kidding about the ROR threads! I don't plan on getting married there, but it seems that almost every thread is a ROR thread, so it would be nice to have a special thread for them since it's so popular. I would love to see more on Rockhouse (although I know it's not many Rockhouse brides

i would really like to have all the Riu details together to make it easier to search

i am getting married in the Riu Montego Bay and its hard to find the details sometimes

as the search doesnt always bring them up and searching for just RIU brings a boat full lol

I kinda agree here. I didn't get married at ROR and when I was planning my wedding I felt overwhelmed with the ROR threads. At this point, we aren't able to add any additional subforums though.

There are millions of special threads for the ROR, so I don't think adding one more would help. And we can't add an additional subforum right now.

Sunbride created and maintains a thread for Dreams Tulum that contains all the details. If you would like to put that together, the forum would be enternally grateful! If you decide it's something that you want to take on, I would use Sunbride's thread as a guideline b/c she's been maintaing the info for months and months and we have a pretty good system down. She creates the thread (leaving empty posts in the middle to add future details) and then I update it for her when she has changes. This isn't something that I have the time or knowledge to do since I didn't get married at ROR, but if any of the ROR brides wnat to tackle it, that would be awesome!

i have pm'ed Lilpaisley who set up the RMB wedding dates and important links thread to see if she is still maintaining it

i said that if she wants i could take it over if she is no longer using the site

Actually, I update that thread with the new dates and whatnot when someone enters new info. Sometimes it might take a few days for me to see it, but it should get update fairly recently.

 

If you wanted to start a thread to contain all the info, that would be great and I can add a link to your thread from the dates thread.

 

ETA: I should've explained that only mods can edit a thread after it's been created. I think you have an hour window to edit your own thread but after that, only a mod can do it. That's why I have to upkeep the dates threads...

How 'bout a sticky for The Iberostar Rose Hall resorts? I've tried to steer people from starting new threads for that one so we really only have one that I know of
