FI has only asked one GM so far. He still has 1 BM and 3 GMs to ask. I guess that's just the way it is.

Uhh Need to Vent, My FI hasn't asked his GM to be in the wedding!

Ummm...I'm totally convinced that they're all crazy! FI hasn't even decided who he wants to ask yet! He says that it's dependent on who ends up coming because it needs to be the "right mix"...I kinda get it, but I have a feeling that he won't be deciding anytime soon...glad I'm not alone! :-D

Well girls, I am so happy to hear you all are going through the same thing I am. That is a huge relief! It is so funny that we as women, know who we want and that we ask them as soon as possible to be by our sides, but our men don't seem to get that quite as clearly as we do. I think they must lack that sense of urgency.
I think as women we are so up on planning and getting the day perfect and that goes for the people we ask too. Men are just so laid back and figure, I will do it when I do it. That goes for some men...I do know a few exceptions.
Well, I wil just have to let this one go. That means, ehh-hhe hum, if he doesn't ask in the next month, I will tell him, "ok, you had your chance, I guess I will ask them for you."
jk But I am glad for the support and thanks to all for cal
ming me down.
It is nice to know I am not alone on this one!

I too feel your pain. I am a little less than a year in advance but I already have my dress and I have my bridesmaids getting their dresses together and FI hasn't even picked his groomsmen (not that its a huge deal) but we have to have deposits by April.1 and I think they should know before then.

Yeah.... this must totally be a guy thing. My FI just shrugs when I ask him what his plans are for groomsmen and best man. It wouldn't surprise me if he waited until the day of to ask them. Men.......
I guess I'll have to use my mind reading skills to assume who he's going to pick and just buy the attire in their size to bring along with us. phhhffftt.

I have also been there! What helped me was putting photos up on our website. I said don't you think your GM's are going to think it is odd that my BM's pics are on our site and theirs aren't.
I didn't get it either, I was so excited so ask my BM's. But I figure he is a guy!

My FI just asked his groomsmen a couple weeks ago, 2 and half months before the wedding (and I don't think they assumed they were GM either). The invitations had already gone out, and I finally just threatened not to cook for him anymore and he called them
