OK WOW!!! I have soo much to say!

 

First that was THE BEST FINALE I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!

 

Okay I thought the award thing was going to be sooo dumb, but I laughed so hard!!! Nick is such a funny guy! I LOVED when Kara came out and sang over Katrina!!!! Oh and the comment Ryan made to Katrina "Oh I'd ask you whats new but we can all see!" HA! HA! I loved that they kinda cut Tatiana off, I can't stand her!

 

Jason Mraz are you kidding me!!!!! I have a hard time with listening to artist live, thats why I like AI cause these people can really sing! Anytime they bring someone on and they suck I can no longer listen to at least the song they sing. Like Lady Ga Ga and Poker Face this season, she was horrible and I can't stand that song anymore! But Jason Mraz oh my god... in the words of Randy Jackson "you can sing!" I was blown away and now like him even more!

 

I love Allison, but did cindy lauper freak anyone else out? Joe and I felt like we were part of some voodoo thing....

 

Did anyone notice danny had his wedding band on his middle finger? I really liked it. I think its a great place to keep it.

 

KISS on AI.... what! It's sooo crazy how Adam has changed AI!

 

I really like Santana and Matt but I really liked Kris during that song. And Jorge.... I HATE him, all I can say!

 

I really liked them showing Kris and Adam getting their new cars and Kris said "I needed a new car so bad!" Just reminds me of how real these people are!

 

The one thing i really loved last season was Michael Johns cause he sang Queen and did it well! I LOVE Queen and was soooo excited to see them on AI!!!

 

I really wanted Adam to win, but really I didn't. I think Kris deserves it. Adam has sang well every song all season (Johnny cash was a weird rendition but his voice wasn't bad), except last night when he had to sing that song, i'm glad he didn't have to sing it again and didn't have to have it as his first single! So Congrats to Kris and his cute wife! No worries we all know Adam, Danny, Allison, and Matt will be signed and we'll be buying their albums! Can't wait!

Jac, I totally agree with everything you said! I have loved Kris for some time, and was so shocked, but so happy that he won. He truly deserves it. I may be the only one, but I was so over Adam and his 80's "rock scream." I was also loving Kris during Santana. I wish he could have sang that whole song himself.

I was also pretty surprised Kris won but I also think this might be better for Adam. He's now not stuck with that song and can completely do his own thing.

 

I loved that Kara out sang bikini girl!

I was SHOCKED - very happily so - that Kris won. I love both of them. Adam is super-talented, but more polished b/c he has more experience in front of crowds. Kris is a true, down to earth guy who has a passion and excels at it! I am positive that they will both be HUGE successes ... but am ssoo glad that Kris won it in the end!!!!

I agree with Jac that it was the best finale ever!! I missed parts of it, but I thought it was awesome. Bikini girl and Kara were hilarious!!

 

Estella1007 - I'm with you on being over Adam's rock scream. I hated him in the beginning but then he started to grow on me....but it didn't last long. Regardless, I can still recognize that he's an awesome singer/performer, but I was SO happy that Kris won! Kris looked so surprised too! He probably thought Adam had it in the bag.

But last year David Cook thought Archie won it and Ryan had to tell him again he won cause he thought he said archie cause thats what he was expecting!

Yeah I heard that!! LOL! He was definitely not expecting that! I think that's one of the reasons I liked him so much, he's just so sincere, down to earth KWIM?

The show was awesome. I can't think of any other awards show that was that entertaining and star packed! I mean each time someone came out to sing I was blown away that AI was able to get that artist. INSANE.

 

And omg- Bikini girl diss. Best part of the night. I had to rewatch that section like 3 times cause her bitchy face was soooo priceless.

 

Congrats to Kris. I'm really happy he won. He was the underdog going in and I totally didn't think Adam deserved to win over him. It's like everyone expected Adam to walk away the champ and that was really unfair to Kris. He's just as talented- just in a different way.

 

I'm also not digging the excuse that America wasn't ready for a guy like Adam. I heard it on our news right after the show and I heard it again on the radio this morning. Ummm....say what? Adam got to the top 2!! He obviously had a lot of America backing him so yes, I'd say America was ready. Kris just out performed him the last 2 shows IMO.

It's really hard to compare the two because they are so different. I'm bummed Adam didn't win because I had him in my work pool! Dang!

 

It will be interesting to see whose name we even remember this time next year!
