It’s nice to hear from someone else who is getting married in St. Lucia. The Windjammer was actually the 3rd choice of ours. The first choice was Sandals Resort but we found out that there are going to be children traveling with us and Sandals is an adult only resort the 2nd choice Resort will be closed for the month that we will be getting married. We really wanted to be closer to the Pitons but none of the resorts were all-inclusive. So The Windjammer just seems to fit all of our needs. How far along are you in the planning of your wedding?

My head is full of ideas, but feel I can't really do much more until I can book the hotel which isn't until July this year.

I have booked my beach though, and from there most ideas are in my head, so I kind of know what I want. It could all change in the coming months though!

We looked at venues this weekend and have found a perfect little hotel to have a party in. I haven't been to any dress shops yet. Very restrained of me since I have been engaged since June last year!

I am thinking that the either a Rex or an Almond resort will suit us. We need to be in the Rodney bay area really, so as not too much travelling on the Wedding Day. Like you we have children coming, and I want a busy resort that people can find plenty to do. I myself will be stretched out on a lounger, cocktail in hand with not much intention of moving. I do want to visit a few places of course, but that wont be everyday. My fiance can't bear sunbathing, he can't keep his feet still so he can be off doing things and we will both be happy.

How about you, do you have many coming with you? How long will you stay for? Are you having a party when you get home?

Well we are in the beginning stages of our wedding planning. We have a photographer and a resort and thatâ€s about it. There will be about 30 people attending the wedding and most of them are staying 7 days. We do plan on having a party when we get back for those who could not make it.

Do you plan on having a party when you get back? How many people will be traveling with you? Did you decide on a resort yet?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
