I just read the article and found it to be very interesting. I too have heard many stories and have read other articles, so I am sure the truth lies within all of them somewhere and to some extent. I feel sorry for the family members and friends of the family for being pushed away due to money or whatever reason it may be. I believe the children are the ones that will end up suffering in the end. Being in the public eye at that age is something they will never get away from, no privacy! If the stories are true about their marriage being rocky, it is because of the show...I cannot imagine how hard it would be to take care of 8 kids and deal with the camera every single day...money or not.

I think they would have had the same issues with & without the show. Early on you can notice things about the way they interact that could lead to divorce if they didn't address the issues.

They also say these issues have been going on for a long time. It's possible they were seperated but living together when he was seeing the other girl. I don't think an affair drove them apart. It could just be a symptom of their troubled marriage.

I don't think bad of them for doing the show. It's a way to generate income and still get to spend time with the kids. Sure the show adds a stress on them, but so would being broke. I appreciate them for being so honest on national television. We all had the opportunity to watch a marriage fall apart and it's a good reminder to keep working on having a happy marriage. You can see where they put the kids as a much higher priority than their relationship and just started to get worse every year. I only started watching the show recently, so when I watch old episodes I'm watching them thinking about that they are likely divorcing. There are so many warning signs in the old episodes that it looks inevitable.

I was hoping the announcement was that they were ending the show & focusing on their relationship. But, sometimes I do think divorce is best for a family.

Anyone have a favorite kid? Mine is aaden. I love how he pretends to be a different animal all the time.

I have heard of parents doing this so the kids don't have to change houses. It can be stressful on the kids to be living one place & then packing up to live another. Especially with 8.

I wonder if they will have their own bedrooms & lock the doors when they are away.

That show broke my heart. Divorce is never easy and you could tell they were both in a great deal of pain.

I got the feeling that Kate would be willing to work on teh marriage but Jon had his mind made up. I do think they would have had the same issues, if not more, even without the show.

I think keeping the kids in their own house is a good thing, especially for their ages. I can't imagine having to pack up 8 kids! I've heard of couples having 2 houses one that was the kids' house and the other house/apartment was for the adults when they weren't with the kids.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
