How is your FI coming down the aisle? Is he using any music? If so, why not have the BM's walk down to the same song he's using?

It wasn't too long between the time my DH walked down & my MOH & FG, so they used the same song.

My Fi isnt walking down the aisle at all, He just goes there with the other guests and goes to his spot at the end of the alter... after everybody's seated, we start the music, the bridesmaids walk, and after they finish I walk..

I just had a discussion with FI, he doesnt understand why I'm not walking close behind the bridesmaids, on the same song I told him that he wouldnt see me properly, if I walk BEHIND them so I want the bridemaids to walk all the way first, and then me... After all, it is about me,,not the bridesmaids This is the right way, right?? pfff Im loosing it...

I think it depends on how you want to do it. I have seen it both ways. The last few weddings I was in The bride paused for a bit (not long) probably when the girls got half way down, then the bride started walking. I think its a personal preferrence but I could be wrong. I just have a MOH and my kids are giving me away so I will probably pause and have a good distance before I start my walk.

Wow I just noticed your date. Not long now! You must be getting excited and going crazy trying to get all the fine details in place. Have fun with it!

Ok, my hubby did the same thing. He kinda walked out with the guests & then stood at the end of the aisle. We had regular music playing as the guests were seated.

When it was time for me to walk, my song played & my MOH & FG walked down. I waited until my FG reached the end of the aisle before I walked so I didn't follow close behind & he was able to see me & only me!

How long is your song? If its 3 minutes or longer, I don't think it would be a problem for you to let your BM's walk, take a pause, then you walk. Maybe you can time it out yourself & see how it would work.

I think it is so much fun that you are able to have your kids give you away,, so sweet... and Yeah, Im a living bridezilla at this moment, Im trying to get all the details done, but I lost every overview I had, Im trying to stay calm nice and relaxed for FI, I really want to enjoy it all instead of acting like some crazy bride maniac

I dont exactly know how long my song is... but I cannot time it, cause I also dont know what distence I need to walk.. I decided on using a different song for the bridesmaids, and Thank god I found 1, Im going to use "I'm yours"from Jason Mraz, I think it has a nice up beat, and some reggea touch :-)

But Thank you so much for helping me figure out what way is the right way!

well, back to the main question :)

I I think you may use Faith-missing you, or you can do a carribean song like Beres-I am so in love, Jaheim-forever, lenny Williams-because I love you, Al Green-love and happiness. It all depends wha mood you are setting, for yourself. My FI will also be mingling with the guest, that part of the wedding is about you. :)
life is too short, live in the moments.

I'm having my bridesmaids walk to Cannon in D set to acoustic guitar (sounds a little more tropical). The song is about 3 minutes, so I'm going to let that play then start my song (Ave Maria-acoustic guitar).
