For those that don't know, there is a website called "the image is found" that has a great photo opp at weddings called the "Crazybooth". Actually, lots of photogs are doing this now. They somehow get guests to do silly poses, sometimes with props, make funny faces, etc. the image is found . photo blog

They sell a manual on how to do it, but its $150. I want to copy this idea, but adjust it a little so it can work for DWs. So here's the big question - how do you get people to be so sillyhuh.gif

The only thing I can think is to put silly "scene descriptions" on cards and guests pull one and then have to pose (kinda like charades, but with a pose rather than acting). Creative people can do whatever they want, but sometimes people need a prompt.

Has anyone experienced this in person or have any ideas? If the "scene description" is how it works, what are some possibilities? Here are some prompt ideas I've gathered from looking at photos:

re-enact ... (something that happened yesterday or a famous event)

impersonate...(the flintstones or 'the hills' people)

pretend you just found out...(your clothes are made of poison or the bride is really a man :) )

We will have some props too! Any ideas would be appreciated! thanks!

The ideas you have sound really good. I think the card thing is a great idea and some people are naturally funny so they won't need any guiding or props. I guess one thing you could do is have a whole bunch of silly pics and ask them to mimic the photo they see.

Sorry thats all I can think of right now. Maybe google drama games b/c I remember back from school doing things like freeze frame etc that you could use.

Good luck!

this sounds fun!

We did it for my Mom's 50th and it was cute- some just used the props and smiled, but it was still cute.... add a couple of cocktails and people might get creative! All it takes is someone to start it.... KWIM? You could have some cards as ideas and they may or may not get used. Have fun!

I think that's such a fun idea! Have you thought of having actions associated with props like a limbo stick (I don't know if that's what it's called) or hula hoops (don't know about getting these on the plane though) or those blow up pool floaty things (like the inner tubes that you put around your waist with the duck on the front or whatever), wow, I have no idea how to describe anything today! There's always snorkels and flippers, or having guys wear the coconut "bras" and grass skirts and doing hula dances, always amusing.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
