I jumped on this morning to see if the winner was posted. I knew you would send an email so I checked my email and was SOOOOOO excited to see an email. I was sure I won! What a trick! HA!
First of all Congrats to Evelyn!

I also thought that when I saw the e-mail I had possibly won. I didn't want to get too excited but I did anyways:) So I quickly read the e-mail and noticed that I was not the winner but that's okay. My date is right after Evelyn's in Mexico so I'm lucky enough to still have Tammy and Trish photograph my wedding! So I still feel like I won even know I didn't win this contest.

Hi everyone! Wow, I just got home from work and was so surprised to see how many people have commented on this contest!

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to Tammy and Trisha for offering this contest!!!! I think you two ladies are so talented and I feel blessed to have you at my wedding.

Now I know there are lots of requests for the story. Here it is:

"It means a lot to us to have a small and intimate wedding for one specific reason: this will be the 1st time our two families have ever met. While I have had the opportunity to get to know Nickâ€s family, and while he is greatly loved by mine, we have never been able to bring our families together because they live in 3 different states. They have been dying to meet each other for the 5 ½ years we have been together, but we can never get everyone in the same place at the same time.

When we got engaged, our parents were thrilled. Once the excitement wore off, and the economy started to get worse, each of our parents came to us and told us they could not afford to help us with our wedding. We looked into destination weddings (as this was all we could afford), knowing that our families would need to travel anyway, and chose Moon Palace for our wedding! Our families are on board, and we plan to make the day very personal and special. We are writing our own vows, and plan to incorporate some Asian traditions (since his family is Chinese) while taking advantage of the beautiful surroundings and Mexican culture. To us, our wedding is more than about just us. It is about our two families coming together to celebrate our love. I would be honored if you would choose us to photograph our wedding and capture some of the intimate “relationship†pictures that would tell the story of our special day."

I can't wait for the wedding now.... and now I need to start getting sexy for that TTD shoot! bunny_4.gif

Tiffany, we are SO excited to be shooting (that always sounds so weird) your wedding as well. And how awesome is it, that not only will we be there for both of your weddings, but I'm also so excited to meet more BDW ladies. :-)

I'll have my laptop with me for the weddings, so "maybe" I can get some teaser pictures out to you ladies pretty quickly. :-) Beause goodness, know we are all picture crazy around here. LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
