CANADIAN OOT BAG info...where to shop!

Recommended Posts

FYI - for those still looking for advil 10cts as I know I havent seen them at Dollarama in awhile now, The Bargain Shop had them by the cash when I was there today for $2.69, so a little more than the $2 at dollarama but probably cheaper than you would pay for shipping etc.

I recently did a trip to the US and they definitely have them in the cleaning supply aisle at Staples. Didn't see them in Canada though.

Hey Guys...

so i was at the dollar store ( Dollerama) tonight, looking for ribbon.. and OMG! they have these "aqua Bottles" that are collapsable water pouched basically.... they have built in straws.. and they are like a giant version of those pouch looking juice boxes? hard to explain so i am hoping you guys will get my description. anyway... they look awesome!! and would be perfect for the OOT bags because they fold into like nothing, and would be great for peope to fill and put in their bags for excursions or just for needing hydration when they are out and about... and when they are empty they collapse flat.. they come in Green and blue. and they are in the same section as the famous first aid kits!!!! and only 1$!!!!!!!!!!. I was going to take a picture but i had left my iphone at home hahaha...  i am still debating on how i can sneak em in my bags with the FI not noticing...  hahah if i make it to the dollar store soon i will snag a picture of them and post it for you guys.. but i thought it was a neat idea!

Thanks for the Staples tip in the US having the little advil and stuff, I will check that out labor day weekend when we go down to Maine :)

Hmm... not sure if this is all over Canada but here the Superstore has like a.. warehouse thingy here like.. it's called Atlantic Cash & Carry but it's basically like a mini costco of superstore stuff? You can get stuff in bulk or just buy one and you don't need a membership. I went there today because we needed bulk items for a dinner we are doing tomorrow and it's like the last place I thought I would look for OOT stuff but they sell like boxes of the Tylenol regular strength and extra strength 10ct tubes ($1.89), that's the individual price but I saw a case out there too so I'm sure it would be cheaper if you bought the whole case (I dunno how many were in there) they also sell tubes of Motrin and tubes of Reactin.. I forgot to check the prices of those because I was looking for Advil.. I also bought a box of Tums there, 18 inidividal rolls inside the pack for like ten bucks. There was a couple of other things there that I already have.. so if you have this in your area or know what I'm talking about.. lol.. put it on your list of places to check out anyway.

Thanks for the heads up Annie!  If I don't find anything in the States this weekend, I'll be definetly heading out to Cash & Carry!

Luvmoo - I know exactly what you are talking about.  My work gave them out to everyone recently.  They would be perfect for excursions...I'll have to keep that in mind!

OK my first Oriental Trading order came in today!!!! Now I am pumped!!! I pretty much have everything now or have ordered it!!! So pumped. I just placed my last order for tums, trident cool colada gum and tide travel sink packets from amazon.com, I just have to wait for it to come in. I am sure that I am not done with the oots, I know the next trip to the city I am sure to find something that I "must" have for them ;) Latest project I been working on is DIY welcome books for oots and let me tell you am I ever glad I started now and have a few months to finish them... big project!!!

Are you doing some sort of Mug?  let that prevent you from the colapsable bottles as they just wont get used as much down there( though very cool)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
