I went to a place called Things Engraved and I paid a $10 set up fee then .90cents per letter...

($67 for all the mugs in total) I figured the price was decient as I had considered buying a handheld engraver and trying to do it myself lol so the fact that it will be professional done by a mashine and not shakey handwriting works for me!  lol ...

BUT right after I got home from dropping them off my grandfather told me the place he goes to get tropheys engraved would have done it cheaper for me..  So it is definately worth making some phone calls and seeing what pricing people are willing to give you :)  There are alot of smaller chain buisnesses that do engraving that I'm sure would be more then willing to do a bulk order and make a good deal with you just to get your service :)

I should have shopped around but I was too excited to get it done - Always my downfall hahaha

I can post a picture when I get them back if you like?

I wasn't fussy about the colors, as we are not giving a mug to everyone coming, just for the guys in the wedding party and a couple more of groom's friends. I also wanted to get them engraved but the couple of engravers I called had never even heard of bubba mugs so I just didn't want to take the time to lug them in and be told they couldn't do it... and I shipped them to the hotel a couple months ago and I was coming up on my shipping date (i.e. trip to the states).

That was going to be it! Until a fellow BDW member posted that she had 7 turquoise bubba travel/slimmer style mugs for sale and I have already actually bought about three seperate things from this lady so I knew she wouldn't let me down - I bought them all for my bridesmaids and my Mom/FMIL. Except I'm not sure about getting one for my junior bridesmaid.. mostly because there are 8 of us and 7 cups and I kinda want one.. lol

I DID put the tags on them (I got it on here somewhere, something like I hope you enjoy this bubba mug to use by the pool, etc etc) which I thought were worded really nicely and again, the creativity of the brides on this website never ceases to amaze me.

Buying some cruise ship themed decorations from BuyCostumes.com tomorrow unless we call the party store in town and they have the scene setters I want! :)

I love all the DIY projects on this site!!  you are right,  the creativity and possibilities are endless..  Id be lost without BDW!  I got the idea for my boarding pass invites here ( which were a huge hit ) and saved LOTS making them myself and the template and ideas for my wedding week survival kits which im sure the guests will adore.

I origionally wanted some kind of waterproof sticker for my  mugs but gave up on finding them and went the engraving route in hopes most of the group will want them for future use..  We never put bridesmaid/groomsmen or anything like that just their names so they were more opt to use them in the future...

( Also found from another bride on this wonderful site ) I'm attaching a cardstock tag to the handle of each mug with raffia that will be removable with the saying

"To Have And To Hold & To Keep Your Drink Cold!"

just cause I think its cute and does incorperate the wedding into the present lol but can be taken off before use :P

Thats a great site you mentioned!  I just found a few cute palmtree items!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
