Great find from Dollarama and in aTropical color too!

It worked okay, I put room temp vodka, refrigerated OJ and 4 ice cubes in it. The ice cubes lasted about two hours and the drink was cold until I  finished it in about 2.5 - 3 hours or so.

The plus side to these is that we can either personalize them or put other details relating to our wedding on them, which we weren't going to do with the Bubba Kegs.

I ordered through Factory21 on Ebay.  I believe they will do custom if you send your design to them...not sure about discountmugs though....sorry!!!!!

We are having a hard time have the design stay on the mug when we go to order them.  Any help would be great!!

Well ladies I think I finally have everything for my OOT bags!!  I've been following all kinds of posts and researching what past guests have actually used for the bags. Here is what I ended up with:

Canvass tote bag from cheaptotes (we may iron on something but are waiting for the bags to arrive to decide)

20 oz Bubba mugs (girls get purple and guys get blue). We are putting labels in these (DIY project) to personalize them.

Kleenex

Sanitizer from bath and body works

Warm fuzzy socks for the ladies (tile floors are very cold)

Condoms for singles

Drug bag (Imodium, Advil, tums)

Post-it pad with pen.

Bandaids (water-resistant)

Itinerary for wedding day.

Blistex with sunscreen.

Beef jerky and gum.

Soooo relieved to have the leg work completed for these!

Hey JBandDJ,

Everything sounds great, but I just wanted to point out one thing. I don't know where you are getting married but there was a bride on here that tried to bring beef jerk in her OOT bags, and it was confiscated going through Mexican customs, as it is an animal product! Just thought I would mention that, you might want to look into it so you don't loose all your jerky!!!

Hello all!  Just wanted to check in with a few more finds this week.  Although I'm done my welcome bags, I thought it made the most sense to post these here:

First, these play packs are from Dollarama and were a steal for $1!!! They contain a little pack of crayons, stickers and a 24 page activity book. My plan is to give these to my nieces and nephews at the rehearsal dinner to keep them occupied while we're all visiting.

Also from Dollarama, these colouring books for $1 and activity pads for $2 (large crayons in the back and a big pad of colouring sheets and activities on the front).  All of these will go in a gift bag and sit on the kids' table at the reception.

Anyone been to Michaels lately and perused the dollar (or dollar-fifty!) bins?  I didn't see any sewing kits, but I have all I need and wasn't really looking too hard.  They had a whole line of cupcake-items (cards, notepads, lip glosses, etc.)...and a nautical/beach-y line of cards, notepads, etc (lots of navy and cream colours)...but some GREAT simple rubber stamps of different shell shapes and a seahorse.  The grouping I was most interested in was the floral-filagree...cards, wrapping paper, sticky jewels and these acrylic photo holder cubes...in fruit punch colours (turquoise, bright pink, green and I think the last colour was orange).  They would be so cute on a table with photos of the b & g...or for table numbers...I plan to use mine for little signs in the mens' and ladies' washrooms (asking guests to help themselves to the toiletry baskets). I bought a cupcake notepad/pen for our flowergirl, and in with the toys I found these stick-on mustaches that I could see the kids (and some of the grown-ups) having a lot of fun with!

Sorry, I just realized I made a mistake...the play packs in the first picture are from Michaels and not Dollarama...but they were $1.  And if you go online and print a coupon from Michael's website, you'll get 20% off your entire order, so you'd get them for .80 plus tax.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
