CANADIAN OOT BAG info...where to shop!

Recommended Posts

Our travel agent gave us the details when we chose our package.  Our offer gives the Bride and Groom the upgrade to elite.  You are right, it is two bags, I was going off of memory...

Thanks for the info on that AquaCait. We are also flying Sunwing, so I'll ask my TA if we qualify for the upgrade to elite. I'm already stressed about the extra money we are going to have to pay to bring our stuff down to Mexico. My FI is a huge kitesurfer and Sunwing charges $100 EACH WAY to bring a surfboard!!!!! FI informed me that he won't go if he can't bring his surfboard lol. We are also bringing all our decorations and OOT stuff down, so at least 2 extra suitcases. But whatever I only plan on getting married once!

YAY!!!  That's good that you get the upgrade!!  I think there's access to some lounge thingy at the airport, the extra weight allowance, and extra leg room with your seats (don't think it's actually emergency seating though...)

I bought Travel mugs (and bags) off of Oriental Trading.  I ended up getting the "Design your own" travel mugs similar to these except mine were 6 for $5.24.  Great deal! Getting 36 lanyards, mugs, bags and koozies including shipping and duty to Canada cost me about $120.

I bought one of those books of scrapbooking paper pad from Michaels.  This one, for 50% off for my personalizing.  I cut out the happy inserts and then taped them to a piece of paper and ran them through my printer.  It only took me a few hours to do all 32 of them, with some trial and error (and redo on spell mistake >.<).  I'm quite happy with the results!  This way they are personalized, super cheap if they get lost/left behind, and can still be used again.

Another option for Canadian brides!

Avens,

Love your cups! I think I would have done the same if I hadn't bought mine already. I need your advice. Mine are aluminum (insulated) coffee cups from Canadian Tire in my colors, red and turquoise. I tried to stick a round label with our logo on a cup but it wouldn't go on the cup straight. So I was thinking of leaving them plain, but now I am having second thoughts. My girlfriend said that this way people are more likely to use it again. Thoughts? I was going to put their name on each cup using a labeller. Your thoughts are appreciated:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
