CANADIAN OOT BAG info...where to shop!

Recommended Posts

I bough Waterproof Labels from http://www.etsy.com/transaction/61195201 to be placed on our mugs.

I haven;t got them yet, so I'm not sure of the quality/durability, but shes says they are the same material as bumper stickers so they have to work!
I'll give an update and pictures of course when their in.

I also ordered some waterproof labels that can be printed at home from Creative Lables before I found the ones above. I will probably use them for Shot Glass favours.

Hey there!

I thought about adding sunblock to the oot's but everyone will be bringing their own so opted not to. Instead i'm adding aloe! I've also included spf lip balm. If you really want to add sunblock I've seen it (decent stuff) at the dollarama for $2.

I am just curious as to how much people are paying for sunblock? I found travel size ones on ebay but it was only 18 ( I need 30) and it was $20 which wasn't bad but shipping was $26 which kinda turned me off as its more than the purchase.  However, I cannot find travel size sunblock anywhere and all the sunblock I do find is full size for $10 or more.  I am wondering if I need to include this as I do know must people will remember to take sunblock when going to Jamaica.  Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I decided against including sunscreen in my OOT bags because I'm sure 99.9% of my guests will pack their own anyway, so a little travel sized sunscreen will be a waste, in my opinion.

I never bring aloe vera to my beach holidays and then find myself wishing I had some on many occasions! So I'm including travel sized aloe vera in my OOT bags. And I often forget chapstick when I go on holidays and miss it so bad that I end up having to buy it wherever I am, so I am including SPF chapsticks as well ;)

Jacq, check out Bubba Kegs here: http://www.shopbubba.com/t-bulk.aspx

They can personalize the mugs on orders of 48+.

AquaCait, that is such a great idea about golf stuff!! I definitely have a bunch of golfers in my group who are excited to hit the Jamaican courses while we're there. I just might add some golf-themed items to their OOT bags now! Thanks for the idea :)

Ladies...I have just returned from my wedding at Dreams Palm Beach in Punta Cana. All of my guests absolutely loved everything in my Welcome bags---I'm so glad cuz I obsessed over it for soo long. Of all of the items; water bottle, welcome booklet, book mark, survival kit, magnets, post cards (all the misc. vistaprint stuff), glow sticks, etc....if I had to pick the one item I saw people use the most...it would be a little pouch thing (hangs around your neck) that I bought at the Dollar Store for $1.50 each. I'd say it was about 5 inches tall and about 3.5 inches wide. It had a net pocket thing on the back and two zipper pockets on the front. EVERYONE used it! It held your room key, your $ (for tipping), a chap stick, a pack of smokes/lighter and in some cased a small camera/phone. It was probably the one item I put the least amount of thought into...and yet, it got the most use......go figure.....

I think the sunscreen would be a waste as well which is why I am torn.  I feel like the bags should have this just in case someone rushes or overlooks this.  But at the same time I think "who is gonna forget sunscreen when going to Jamaica?"

Thanks for the tip on the bubba kegs I never knew they had a website.

We have a huge group coming with us, which means I'm up to approx. 55 bags.

There was no way we could afford to but a "survival kit" in everyones bag so instead we will make up a big tupperware container of everything that should be in there and have it available for our guests if they run out of something or forget something, so they don't have to pay the outrageous $ the gift shop will charge.

We're just going to tell them at the welcome party that it is there for them to use.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
