Don't buy the fake ziplock freezer baggies at Dollarama... I learned the hard way! Just opened up the box and they have writing on the front, just like the ziplock ones :(

If you look in the art/craft section at Dollarama, they have sealable clear bags, small to medium. The medium ones I have aren't big enough so I am going to go back to Dollarama or other dollar stores.

Hi Camy,

So I am trying to make similar labels to yours on Vistaprint as they have a great sale going on. Did you order your different labels/ postcards at the same time? How can I put them in my cart and get more then one set of post cards for free? I tried to remove on order then add it back in and it wants to still charge me 29.99$ for one set of post cards. How do I get the deals I saw in the email, do I search on the web page?

Thanks

I know...it's a great sale, hey?  Vistaprint and I had a date night on Friday ; )  I put 4 orders in!  Disappointed that the cloth bags weren't free for 1 like they have been, but discovered the free notebooks which I personalized for my nieces and nephews.  When I've ordered in the past, they will only let you order one free item from that category (one set of postcards)...up to 10 different free items, then they start charging.  At one point, I could only order one notepad...but now it's letting me order one notepad AND one notepad with a magnetic back (both for free) which was great!   I don't know which bags I'll be using for my wedding week survival items...maybe a ziploc (but I think the medium size will be too small and I'm not wild about using the large size), maybe a clear cello bag...so every order I played around with the oversize postcards that I'll fold over the top...once I had them done so I could fold them in half lengthwise, the others widthwise like Camy's.  I'll have a whole lot of extras in the end, but I want them to be just right.  Does that make sense?  Basically, if you want another set of postcards, you'll have to do another order.  That's what I've found anyway...

Hi Ladies,

I'm very new to Vistaprint, and just created an account. It seems like they have great deals and that you can get a lot of freebies. I've read that some people have gotten all of their stuff almost for free. I'd like to use them for postcards and pre-travel brochures, can anyone tell me the tips and tricks to get the best value from Vistaprint? What do I need to do and look for to take advantage of it.

Thanks so much for any advice you can provide!

Hey! The trick to vista print is to add a few items to your cart but do not buy them. Then you will start receiving regular emails to your inbox with free deals. Things are not really ever free as you do have to pay shipping, but considering what you are getting it is totally worth it. If I were to design and print many of the items I have gotten from vista print I would have spent a fortune... You can also order only one free item of each like 1pen, 1notebook,1 tshirt etc per order. But you can go right back in and order the same thing again when you need multiples and they will all ship together. Check out the thread entitled "all the things you can do with vista print" for tones of great ideas!

The secret to Vistaprint really depends on what you want to order. If you have a LOT to buy I recommend using a deal that has 80% off most items and free shipping...this way you can order multiple sets of postcards etc. and get the quick shipping option for free. You can usually order the standard free items like pens or sticky's with this deal too so you might get 10-12 items for around $40. Then if you place several small orders with regular shipping and all the free items at the same time they will likely send them all in the same box. So for example I did one big order with the postcards and 10 other items and then 5 separate orders which contained a notebook, notepad, sticky, keychain and tote for each of my bridesmaids and they were about $7 each. They all shipped together within 14 days.

Unfortunately you cannot get more than one of the free items in each order so you really have to do multiple orders. However, you CAN get multiples in some instances. So for example some templates for flat horizontal invitations, flat vertical invitations, and folded invitations are all the same dimension so you could use the same pattern for each and order 3 for free because technically they are different. I hope that makes sense. :)

Btw, keep your old emails if a great deal seems to appear.....many don't expire so you can use them later on.

Hi Ladies,

If you have kids in attendance at your wedding Michaels has some great kids items for OOTs.

I bought set of two sand molds, mini beach ball, Toy Story/Car Maracas, activity books, toys, frisbees, and some other games for 45 cents.

I bought enough to fill 4 kids bags for about $20.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
