CANADIAN OOT BAG info...where to shop!

Recommended Posts

Yup, we are adding them to the bags for the single guys, since we aren't giving them a spa pack (bath soaps and chocolates, because every suite in our resort has a jacuzzi). I'm keeping them in the dollar store packaging until we get down there so there shouldn't be an issue with security - their website says toy guns that don't look like real guns are ok now even as carry on.

Sweet! Thanks so much for your reply! I found them packaged in 2's - for $1.50! Can't beat that!
My FI says they won't even show up on the scanner cuz they're not metal - but I think these days just about anything shows

We talked about these awhile back, may have been in the Canadian Brides thread as another Canadian bride opted to get hers from Superstore, one thing we mentioned was that most of the guys wont use these, I know my FI refuses to use the one I picked up for him and my dad laughed at me when I gave him one (I use mine for yoga all the time).  They both said they don't make sense for anyone who is having a drink that they dont use a straw with, ie BEER!  Just thought I would let you know before you order because I loved these cups but when they said that it made perfect sense!

However, you have to be careful about shipping to Canada. That's where they screw ya! The cups are great too. They keep cold drink cold for a super long time.

I'm in Calgary, and have a place in Fernie BC. So, I'm going to have these shipped to Eureka Montana. They have shipping outlet there for exactly this kind of thing:

I'll just hop over the border, pay the gst, and it's still cheaper than shipping.

I know that this is sorta specific to anyone that's living close to the US border, but I'm sure that they have similar services in Buffalo, etc. for all you Ontario brides out there.

Just another idea.

Went to the Real Canadian Wholesale Club today. One of the other brides in this thread tipped me off to it saying it was a "Mini Costco with superstore stuff", in Atlantic Canada called Atlantic cash n' carry, here in the west it's The Real Canadian Wholesale Club

Found Advil 10ct 1.99 and Tylenol 10ct 1.89

Also for any BC/Alberta/Sask brides looking for travel candles or cheap OOT bags, Bianca Amor's Liquidation Superstore AKA Smart Deals stupid prices, had a bunch of different style of reusable shopping bag type bags and travel candles.

I bought the candles, 5 for $3 and they smell divine. :)

Great finds!!! That advil is cheaper than dollarama!!! LOL

Just a point to all the brides putting meds in their OOTs, one of my nurse friends informed me that Tylenol mixed with alcohol can cause liver failure.  She said you are save with Advil but Tylenol can cause serious problems.  Just thought I would let you know.  I am an advil user but for those tylenol people this is something I would want to make my guests aware of as I know there will be some alcohol consumption on our trip lol

These are the exact same cups that I was looking at from a place in Mississauga!!!  Except that they are way cheaper and there's no minimum order!!!!

The place here was $4.49 each for 50, plus set-up fee, plus shipping!!!  I can order 35 from your site!!!

For anyone who's interested, the website I'm talking about is www.promopays.ca and they do everything custom.  Bags (some really nice beach bags), T-shirts, Frisbees, cups, you name it!!!!

And like I said, they are in Mississauga, and it's probably a whole lot easier to go in and see stuff for the GTA brides....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
