I've been to a few all inclusive resorts and Bubba Kegs definitely get my vote! My FI and I took them on our last trip to Cuba and we used them the entire trip! If you are tanning on the beach, the last thing you want to be doing is getting up every 10 minutes to get a cold drink! We took the larger ones and we actually had people offering us things in exchange for them throughout the week! hahaha! Now that we are home we still use them....especially if we are camping or at a friends cottage.

If I recall, I think the regular price is around $10 at CT so if you get them on sale they can be as little as $4-$5. This was our main purchase for our OOT bags so didn't think that was too unreasonable.

As for packing them I'm still trying to figure that out....but I read that you can check a box instead of a suitcase as long as it meets the baggage dimensions. This way you only have to pay  extra baggage fees one way b/c you can just leave the empty box there.

As for Dollarama they have some more great finds now in stock!!! The other day I saw tubes of sunscreen SPF 30 & 60 for $2. They also have Self Laminating Sheets in the back to school section (8 in a pkg. for $1). I am going to be using these to make personalized luggage tags; I ordered premium business cards for free from Vistaprint that I will fill out with my guests info, seal them in the self-laminating sheets, hole punch the top, and use ribbon in my wedding colours so ppl can attach to their suitcases. I figured this was the cheapest way to do luggage tags (until I saw the ones on here 4/$1! haha).

Does anyone know what stores in the US carry the Shout wipes or bug repellent wipes? I'm assuming WalMart or Target....but my Mom is going to go down so don't want to send her on a wild goose chase! :)

Shout wipes are for sure at Target, they are in the "travel section" near cosmetics in the 3 packs or you can get boxes of 12 usually on an end cap, in the detergent and laundry aisles.  I can't recall if I saw them at walmart but for some reason I don't think I did!  Works out to the same price whether you do the 3 or 12 pack (I was calculating on my phone in the middle of the store lol) so whatever she finds let her know!  I totally forgot to look for the bug repellent wipes so I will be hunting for those my next trip.  Our superstore had the kids ones so they are available in Canada but I will be looking for them Friday when I go over the border!

So I know this isn't OOT related....but you ladies are so great at giving advice I couldn't resist:

What did you put in your invitations instead of traditional inserts?

I was thinking just RSVP and Reception info as I already gave out Accommodation info with the Save the Dates. Thoughts?

Not sure what you mean about "traditional inserts"  check out my thread with my invites.

Also, to keep the Canadian OOT thread OOT specific we created a "Canadian Brides" thread as we all rely on one another so much! Be sure to join us over there!!!!

You don't think travel mugs would be used more?? I found some nice red and teal metallic ones at Canadian Tire for 5$ on sale....I was thinking of just getting some for our wedding party but there is only 13-15 people going...Thoughts? Tumblers or Mugs? For everyone or w. party?

Thanks!~

We are also planning a trip across the border (to David's Bridal!) and back to school shopping for my sister and mom for my younger brothers...

Hi Capecodder, good to see another nova scotian bride! :D There are tons of fantastic ideas here, I've stolen lots myself lol

Yeah, I want to see the other side of the 25 cent luggage tags as well pleasie embarrest.gif

Speaking of Dollarama, for anyone that's bought Poly to Go, whats the expiration date on yours? lol.. Mine is May 2012.. and my wedding is April 2012.. but the cruise goes from April 28 - May 5th - so kinda cutting it close lol.. just wondering if anyone elses is different?

Ours in Edmonton were Feb 2012 and I'm March. Hoping they will get some new ones in.

Hi girls, the backs are all black or all white, there's nothing on them. They were not dollarama, I think it might have been called a dollar giant but am not certain, will get back to you :) I found them in Toronto. They also had them in 4/1 in all black. quote name="torilynnsmith" url="/forum/thread/38128/canadian-oot-bag-info-where-to-shop/1780#post_1654896"]

These are awesome!!!! Great find!!! Can you post a picture of the reverse side or is it the same?!

Shout wipes are not available in Canada as far as I know.... I find they are a little pricey on ebay and it isnt even so much the price but the shipping charge basically doubles the cost.... If you have Chance to cross the border you can get them at Target or Walmart for about $3 a box I believe (12 count).  The tums rolls can be found at Walmart for sure, not sure about costco, they may not have the roles may only have the larger containers.

Glad we could be a help to you!  I would be happy to send you the bag topper template for my Wedding Week Survival Kit, just PM your email address.... I haven't been emailing many templates anymore but because Nova Scotia holds a special place in my heart I will for you!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
