Lol! Thanks!

I thought about the sewing kits but didn't think they would get used so I'll have one, and maybe I'll put them in the BM & Parent bags but I really don't think everyone will use them. They are super cute though! I love the ones Tori got :)

Are you in Toronto? We have a BBW outlet here so everything in there is super cheap!! it's awesome!

I am having issues finding nice and cheap sewing kits, some at the dollar stores are too big! I am going to put them together myself with some cardstock like another DIY bride did.

I went to three different Michael's Stores and had no luck finding the sewing kits there.

Okay so here is the scoop on Drugstore.com order. I was going to place it, my order was 87.00 plus 5.40 duty and 28.00 shipping. My fiance was leery...said make sure it's a reliable site..so I checked for customer reviews and a lot came back negative..I would say 80% gave it 1 out of 5 stars. So given that it is hit and miss, I chose not to take the chance. Sorry, I was excited too..My fiance is gong to the states for a conference in Oct so will likely get him to get the shout to gos and a few other things.

I did find two Canadian sites that provide health and grocery items with free shipping in Canada. I may order vitamins and supplements in bulk from them as prices are good.

I remember that too but I thought it had to do with including too many over the counter medications and people basically ODing themselves.  I am probably totally wrong.... I am sure my guests wont take all 6 of their peptos and 10 of their advils at once lol but who knows!!!!

I will check out the link you gave thanks :)  I have given pepto, rolaids and advil peptos song does go "nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea" Sooo I hope its true and then I think the bases are covered!!!!

I read somewhere in this thread a while ago that one of the brides asked the pharmacist about pepto and immodium or pepto and advil/tylenol, I can't remember what it was but I know for sure pepto was involved, anyways, something about the interaction between the two and she was encouraged NOT to include both. So that being said, I found this link to research the interactions: http://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/ maybe just check with a pharmacist?  I think the two are similar but don't do the exact same thing, pepto should help with heartburn, whereas i'm not sure that immodium does.

Sorry, I don't think I answered your question! lol

Hey Ladies,

So I was also one that would go crazy on all the OOT bag stuff but that was up until one fine day when I figured that I should probably see how many bags I am going to need to get everything down to Mexico.  Well after packing everything up I was at 8 bags ranging in size from large suitcases to large duffle bags on wheels. Now that does taken into consideration things like cake topper, programs and the odd little thing but mostly it is my OOT stuffers. However once I had 8 bags I realized that is when I had to stop.  I still have to pack for myself and FI and my son so we are probably looking at another 3 bags with our clothes and that doesnt even take care of my dress or flowers.  So a word of wisdom, start packing now to see where your at, bc the exra bag charges are going to add up really fast!!!

What I have so far for my OOT bags (for 36 people or 20 bags) :

Beach Bag

2 Travel mugs per bag

Pashmina

Beach kit ( sunscreen, sanitizer, body butter, bandaids, listerine strips, chap stick - all travel size)

Hangover kit (advil, pepto, immodium - travel sizr)

Lanyard with money/key holder

first aid kit

deck of cards

tissues

5 postcards with pen for each bag

36 starfish for place settings

tag body spray travel size

ipod dock - travel size - 4

room spray from Bath and body works

welcome book

wet bikini bag

Mexican translation form

tags for the bags

star fish wine stoppers...... there is probably more but I cant think of it off the top of my head.

So make sure you stop and check the bag issue before you go crazy bc it adds up really fast.  Its like they say with your wedding dress....when you found yours, don't go looking anymore.  So if you have enough stuff, stop looking otherwise there will always be something out there that you will want. Good Luck ;)

Hi Laurelyn,

I am not sure, it depends on your city. I know in Edmonton we have one bbw "outlet" in our outlet mall area but to be honest, the prices n deals are pretty comparable between regular stores and the outlet stores. I may pop by a mall store today and I will let you know how the prices are.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
