CANADIAN OOT BAG info...where to shop!

Recommended Posts

Here's what I was thinking...because it was the ONLY bag I could find locally that I loved...and it was a heck of a lot cheaper than ordering something with a logo online...I bought a few extra because I loved them so much, and figured if they didn't get used for OOT bags, I would just use the extras for birthday gift bags or whatever.

Tori,

Sorry about that...CAA is the Canadian Automobile Association...the motor club where you can book travel, insurance, car coverage...they're all across Canada are they not?  Our main branch sells maps, travel clothing and gear...

Here are the four colours of passport covers from Michaels...we plan to give them as stocking stuffers this Christmas, or include them in a Christmas card with a copy of our engagement photo, or give them out over the Christmas holidays when we meet up with family and friends to chat about/plan for their trip to our DW.

Gee, now that I look at these passport covers, I think how fun they would have been to use as part of a wedding invitation...for a little more than $1 a piece, they would have been great!  Too bad ours is already done and out.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the "rules" of BDW regarding number of posts and what can be accessed when?  I have been looking for it all over!!!!

Oh, and Tori...I meant to tell you, thanks for giving me some food for thought when it comes to embroidering a child's name on a shirt or other garment, bag, towel, etc. as a gift.  I think your point is very valid...I might just do an initial for their first name and put "flower girl" underneath that.

That is what we did too!!! for $1-$2 a bag they are the same as a paper gift bag so better too many than too few!!!

I wanted to do that for our invites!!!!!!!!! We have black and white leather ones that my mom collected 40+ of from a vendor she works with.  We ended up not doing it for invites because we sent out so many.  I may do our pre travel brochure as a passport if I have the patience/energy and send them out with that!

As for BDW rules go to the "how to navigate" section under forums along with bugs issues etc and there are a few GREAT threads to answer all your questions!!!

Oh thanks MJKH! It just always concerns me, like those stickers people put on their cars with the stick figures "mom, dad, kid 1, kid 2 dog cat" and sometimes they even have their names under them..... I think I just watch too much criminal minds!! LOL  I like your idea for initials, personal but SAFE!!!

torilynnsmith...YOU ROCK...'cause that is a great idea to include them as part of the pre-lim info going out to our confirmed guests (I keep talking about Christmas, because I anticipate that we'll have an open house for all of our confirmed guests to chat with them about transfers, customs, etc...answer any questions...anything that we need to deal with before they get to the resort)...then they can use it for their passport after if they like...and if it's not for them, they don't have to worry about hurting our feelings if they don't use it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
