CANADIAN OOT BAG info...where to shop!

Recommended Posts

Another great find for some OOT templates and ideas

I bought my sewing kits at Michaels (US) for $1 (they have them here in Canada for $1.50) they come with little scissors etc BUT if you were looking to just include a small sewing kit for the idea and SAVE some money there is a great idea on this site!!!!

Come cardstock, a few colours of thread, a few needles and buttons and you can DIY your OWN sewing kits for cheap cheap cheap!!!!! Also you can easily personalize these and I think they are PERFECT for what you need for a DW.  Wish I had found this before because I TOTALLY would have done this!!!!

Hope this helps out some DIY Canadian brides

Which bags did you buy? Well my issue was that when you ironed, the bags melted (which was odd because they were NOT supposed to be synthetic, 100% polyester is what was advertised? maybe thats vulnerable to the heat too?? I used t-shirt iron ons... I was told those were what I should be using? I bought the multi colored ones 50 for 30 bucks or something like that? Maybe I cheaped out and got the REALLY cheap ones?? are these the same ones you got or did you get the white ones with the colored strap?

would love to know, ALSO let me know how your iron-on works, maybe you should try one and it was just me and not the bags lol.

Are you going to buy all new bags now? Maybe it was the type of iron-on transfer paper? I know some other girls also bought those bags and I'm almost positive they used iron-on transfers. You can check out the thread on the bags and throw a question out there?

Hi ladies,

For those of you taking candles or the sky lanterns, what are you planning to do for matches? I'm not sure if this is the same for all airlines, but at least on Westjet, matches are not allowed in your checked or carry-on luggage (except one pack for personal use). Thoughts?

I did see them at my Michaels here (Peterborough) and in Mississauga, I also may have some extras that I could sell to you if you need them!  Keep me posted on how the hunt goes and I will let you know once I have a better idea of final numbers!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
