CANADIAN OOT BAG info...where to shop!

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies!

Just wanted to share a source I found for those zip-up badge holders you attach to wrist coils for tip money/room keys. https://www.acklandsgrainger.com/AGIPortalWeb/WebSource/ProductDisplay/globalProductDetailDisplay.do?item_code=IDM1815-1110

They are close in price to the American websites and they have a lot of retail locations. I am driving to pick mine up tomorrow - so no shipping costs! and they sell them in whatever quantity you want.

That's so funny they sell the badge holders. I'm there a couple times a week to pick up stuff for work.  On another note, if you are looking for holders without the zipper, Walmart now sells the in packs of 10 for $1.99. They also sell lanyards in 10 packs. Everything can be found with the office supplies.

I'm getting excited! I still have a year to go, but I want make them already!  Let's hope my assumptions for how many people are right.  :)

I did get started a bit.  I ordered my dress from Netbride.com.  When you order from them you get a 120 credit towards and veil and 50 towards shoes.  Im not using a veil and none of the shoes really suited what I wanted, so I was able to use that credit towards wedding accessories.

So I got wine and bottle openers (beach themed) for the OOT bags (since when we were in Mexico, we wanted them for our rooms!) and personalized lip balms.

I probably would't have spent as much on this sort of stuff normally, but it was free (not to mention my dress was $200 cheaper to start with)!

HI Girls

I was at Zellers this morning and they have light pink and black travel mugs with a handle and a stainless steel band around them for only 2.99!  You could totally put a clear sticker on them. I would do this but of course my mug order just came in this past week. Just thought I would share.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just  a quick question, when checking bags through customs does it matter if your wedding week survival kit is already individually bagged, and all your oot bags are put together. These bags are being checked and not brought on the plane. Hubby is freaking out that something or someone will say something because it looks like I will be bringing at least 20 oot bags with us-which includes bubba mugs for everyone. This is for our daughters wedding - we are going to havae to bring 2 extra suitcases with us. Thanks for any replies

You should not have a problem with checking your luggage with the OOT bags already prepared. However as an added precaution, you should take receipts for what is in the OOT bags and tell the customs agents it is gifts for the wedding guests (this will only be used if you get searched).  Not sure where you are flying, but usually most of the customs officers are okay, they just want to know you are not bringing in items for resale. So by showing your original reciepts and stating that they are gifts you should have no problems.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
