Ohhh these are cute!  Where did you order from?  My wedding is in a month, so I need something fast! :)  What are you putting in them?  I'm trying to gather what to put in them right now. Oh and thanks so much for the tip on paying a vendor fee for make-up.  I'll look into it again.

Hey Ladies:

I got some information about the free wedding package from Janielle, a wedding coordinator at the Grand! The wedding package is free but it doesn't include a lot of what the $3,000 package covers, so I got pricing on the essentials:

-arrangements for marriage license and official certificate. This is included
-wedding personalization and personalization of wedding coordinator. US$ 400.00
-wedding dress pressing service.  Roughly  US$50.00
-decoration of wedding venue. This is dependent based on the type of décor you want and whether of not you are using a huppa or arch.

-sound system with microphone and CD music for ceremony. US$ 150.00 We only play the traditional bridal march if you need something different please take your own CD

You would still save money by getting the free wedding package but it doesn't include the upgrades like the $3,000 package does but who needs extras when you have a butler and a 5-star resort!?

Hope this helps : )

Hi! I work for a clothing manufacture and we own a factory in Pakistan so I will be custom making the bags there. I didn't send the bag to be costed out yet since I haven't made a final decision on the bag and I don't have a final head count since my wedding is in Dec. I was hoping to try to get some other brides on board from this website as well. The bag will definatly be under $5 a pc for an XL canvas bag, personalized with Montego Bay and a palm tree with tropical colors.

I will most likly be placing my order in July. Sorry I couldn't help you :(

Hey Ladies.... sorry I have been MIA from the forum, we finally are all moved and settled in our new home! I heard back from Janielle about the free wedding package (it did take her awhile to get back).

Hi Shannon,

Sorry for the delay in my reply. Once your wedding is already confirmed, the package  cannot be changed.

I wrote her back asking about about if I were to pay the $100 cancellation fee and rebook with a different package and she has yet to get back to me. My feelings are that, the resort is not too happy with this free wedding package, though Iberostar (the chain) started it to complete with fellow resorts, i.e. Sandals.

Let me know if you all hear any thing else!

Thanks

Hi Susan1672- I was just wondering when you confirmed that there was a free wedding package at the Grand? As, I phoned a couple months ago, when I was deciding between Ceremony packages, and spoke to one of the wedding coordinators, they stated that we had to choice between the $1700/$3000 ceremony package. I asked if I could pay for the esstentials only, as I didnt need all the frills included, and she said no I could not just pay for what I wanted!

So if this free wedding package is something they just now are offering I will be very upset :-( I feel that the Grand has all these hidden fees...it's starting to be a bit ridiculous! We pay so much as it is to get married there!

ha ha starting to get frusterated, sorry!

Thanks Susan1672

Hmm I booked and received confirmation of my wedding date April 20th.....do you have the attachment still of the free wedding package, as well as what it includes? or the exact date that this went up? so I can send Janielle a reply..... I even phoned prior to submitting my request to ask if there was a free package, as most resorts offer this, and Janielle did not even mention to me of this......thatswck.gif

Thanks

Hmmm... thanks for sharing that because she def told me that I could not cancel and take advantage of the free wedding! I think I will be calling her, it's worth the money for a phone call to get a direct answer. Thank you for sharing!! $100 to $3,000 it totally different.

ANY other ladies, have any luck??

Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
