Iberostar Grand Rose Hall

Recommended Posts

I did not see what chairs were under the covers. The chairs at the lunch restaurant are wooden and are nice looking. I would assume that since, by the time your wedding is taking place, the lunch restaurant (closes at 3, I think) will be closed so you could prob use them. I am assuming that those are the chairs under the covers.

Hi everyone!

I am so glad there is a Grand thread! My soon to be brother-in-law just got back from the Grand a couple weeks ago and he said that any guest not staying at the Grand would need a day pass. He thought it was $80 per person. He was going to talk to the wedding coordinator while they were there, but felt a little out of place discussing my wedding with someone when he wasn't really sure what we wanted :)

I'm not sure if that helps anyone, but you could always email your coordinator, they are pretty prompt during the week at responding (I learned that you just don't email and expect a response Thurs-Sun).

Hey Gokartmagic! I am a fellow Grand Bride and a Marylander! What part are you from? I live in Canton in Downtown Baltimore. When is your wedding at the Grand? Mine is Dec 4, 2009 and I know Pilar said there were 2 booked at the time of my booking-- one in Aug, and one the day after mine!

Hey Sparkles!

We just purchased a home in White Marsh/Middle River area last summer. And our wedding will be on 5/21/10. I was trying for a Saturday wedding, but every single one was booked! I guess we lucked out though, I completely forgot about Mother's Day and Memorial Day, and I didn't want to have our wedding during a "holiday" weekend. I'm so excited about the Grand! After looking at all the options (too many countless hours reading, and re-reading reviews) I know we picked the right one for us. I thought I saw that someone has actually booked the day after and another the day before that are on here, but I saw that on my first day on this forum and now I can't find where I saw the post :)

I look forward to seeing what creative things we all come up with for our weddings!!!

Gokartmagic-WOW! They must really be filling up on weddings if they did not have any Saturdays. Good for them. After doing the site visit, I know it really is the best location EVER, and I was suprised that (at the time) they only had 2 weddings booked! Hopefully more Grand ladies will join.

Imuze-We have Aunt's and Uncle's staying next door with 4 kids. They are letting them come to our Grand wedding, because they are all over 13 and we are doing the private rececpion. Maybe you could ask if they would let your kids come over as well? I mean, if they are paying to come over & you are paying to rent out a private area, I don't see Iberostar saying "no". Even with the $80pp to come over for the wedding, it is still hundreds of $$'s cheaper to stay at the Suites. That is why we don't feel bad about those staying there paying the $80 instead of us paying. Just a thought!

HI all! Super excited to have found this website/thread! You can't find information/pictures ANYWHERE about Iberostar Rose Hall none the less the Grand! Booked my wedding June, 15, 2011 at the Grand and completely can't wait!! My FI and I are trying to figure out if it's going to be worth it to take a trip down in 2010 to scope out the place. Will it be worth the trip or should we save the excitement of the Grand for when we go down for the wedding in 2011??

Cyclegirl, when I sent my e-mail to Pilar, it did take her a while to respond to it. But eventually, all the booking paperwork got taken care of. Just took a few weeks. I know it's super hard to wait for it because we're so excited!!

Hi all!! Well, Sparkles wedding has been VERY inspiring to myself, my MOH, my mom, my aunt... Christmas was a GREAT time to show off all her great pictures and start to get everyone psyched for the wedding next year!

So... my FI usually works weekdays early in the morning (morning show radio host) and then late late nights on the weekends (bar DJ) but this weekend... he doesn't have to work at all because of the holiday... and...

We just booked a random trip to Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall to check it out!! We're very excited! I'll make sure to take lots of pictures while we're down there and post when I get back!!

Happy New Year to all!!!!

I just got married at the Suites but stayed at the Grand before and after the wedding...the hotel is very very nice- the grand but so is the suites and for the price differential you might consider the suites for a family and fun wedding location. I found the Grand- lovely- but not too "fun" for my group...you cant go wrong though thats all I would say...have fun and enjoy JA

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
