Iberostar Grand Rose Hall

Recommended Posts

Hi Laura! We are booked for March 13, 2013....thought it was a cool date: 13/03/13 !! We haven't heard anything else back since we confirmed it about 2 months ago but I would imagine that they are just very busy with the weddings for this year! They sent me a huge email with package prices/wedding prices and other smaller detail prices. I don't know how I can send them to you but I would be happy to!

Kristen,

That date is really cool! It would be great if you could forward me that. My email address is jonandlaurawight@gmail.com  Right now I am trying to figure out which of the three Iberostars to have our reception at. It is really confusing with their fees for other Iberostar guests to attend. Thanks for your help. It pretty cool to have found a fellow March 2013 bride!

We had problems with that decision too - what resort.  We eventually decided on the Suites (all of our guests are staying at the Grand or the Suites).  The Grand did tell me they would allow children at the ceremony and private reception but their prices seemed higher than the Suites.  For example, the wedding package is $900 more, it was like $4500 to rent the restaurant out and that only gets you a buffet - a sit down dinner is $70 per person.  We will be renting out the beach restaurant at the Suites and it's only $800 plus $18 per person for dinner (comes to like $2,000 for our guests).

Just seemed like more money but not really sure what extra we'd be getting.  Besides, we plan to do a lot of extras - I am having chairs brought in, different flowers, etc. etc.

I don't really know anything about the beach so I can't be helpful there.

Allie, Ughh, sorry. I am still learning how to use this site. I thanked you for the information. Your information was very helpful as I have only received a reply from the Beach so far. I was able to find the other price lists online that are dated March 2012. Leaning towards an off resort location (Aqueducts is my dream but its really expensive) with reception/bonfire at the Suites with us staying at the Rose. I just get confused with all their added fees for guests of the Beach to attended Suites and what percentage of guests need to stay at Iberostar for you to have a reception, etc, etc. This site definitely has been so helpful. I will be so relieved when I get picking a resort over with already!

Is anyone here getting married at the Grand at the end of May 2013?  We are 95% sure we are flying down our photographer from NJ - he did our engagement shoot and he's absolutely amazing!  Just figured if someone was, we could always split his hotel/airfare costs.  Let me know!!

His costs are comparable to Saab photography plus you get an extra shoot (which Saab charges $550 an hour for and won't have to pay an additional $100 for an off-site vendor)

Wow thats a lot!! Have you looked into other photographers? I am getting married at the Grand 6-8-12, and we are using Misha Earle. Though I thought it was a lot of money, we went with the gold package, because it is all we will have to remember our wedding. I know there are a good amount of good photographers in Jamaica. Misha has been great to work with, and I can't wait to work with her in June.

Gold Package   Up to 10 hours of location time (can be split to your specifications for a day before or next day shoot if desired)   9 X 9 Linen Hard Cover Book - 100 images with 4 per page. (see below for images and description)   DVD photo show set to the music of your choice   Copyright free CD containing high-resolution files of all usable images   Total 3,500.00 USD

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
