ATTN: Dreams Los Cabos Brides (2/26/09)

Recommended Posts

hi everyone,

i am back and it was a great trip. the weather was FABULOUS!!

on saturday i met with mariana, yarai, yessica, and yolanda and we talked for 2 hours. the dreams cabo wedding and sales department were great about getting suggestions from me about what sort of upgrades/perks brides might like. they are going to implement something soon and send it over as soon as they finalize the details.

also, they will join the forum and start a "ask the dreams EC team" thread to help answer everyone's questions sooner.

In trying to finalize my budget I was wondering what the difference is between the Silver and Gold reception. Is it worth the extra $1000?

the differences in the menu is that the gold reception has the lobster and filet mignon.

I asked the question a few times now to Yesica but she hasn't gotten back to me with an answer yet. sad.gif
i missed this question but let me ask...

Can you ask Yesica to explain what the new policy about charging a fee for using an outisde WC as well as outside vendors? Apparently this new policy just began, but I have been booked since May 2008.

they are going to implement an outside vendor policy. it is because dreams wants to maintain a certain level of excellence regarding their weddings. it is really hard to do that if they have to work with vendors that they have never worked with or do not have the best reputation. what they are going to do is have a "preferred vendor list". to have your vendor get on that list, they need to contact the dreams wedding dept. and fill out the necessary forms, qualify etc. they will also be told the procedures at the resort, etc.

those vendors that do not want to be on the "preferred vendor list" will have to pay a fee. this is because it does take extra effort and man-power to work with a vendor that is not familiar with the resort.

at the end of your stay you can pay with cc when you check out. one of the wedding coordinators will go over the bill with you. if you are having your guests pay the day pass, give your WC a list of who you expect to show up and let them know that they are to be billed upon entering the resort.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
