Jamaica wedding - ISSUES!

Heidi - Figured I would let you know that I went to Harleysville Bridal on Friday (I took off cuz I just couldn't wait another day!), and I didn't get a chance to try anything on, not enough time. But there were at least 6 when I looked thru real quick, that I am going to try on. One I am very excited about! So thanks for suggesting that place, I probably would never have gone there. It was the first place I had seen that wasn't full of big fluffy dresses.

 

But back to what this thread is about... I sent an email to my travel agent today and I told her that a destination wedding is absolutely what I want to do. So I have her checking into different dates for the 2 resorts we had decided on previously. I really, really want Sunset at the Palms, so I am having her check if we choose a different date, do they have the same restrictions (7 night min stay for guests, and they wouldn't allow all of my guests rooms). And if not SATP, she is checking into Beaches Boscobel for various different dates in February, April and May.

 

Thank you all for your responses, makes me feel less crazy knowing others are doing the same thing.

Have you tried down passyunk ave in South philly. they have nice dresses. Davids bridal in springfield?

I hope all works outwith the resorts. Try Macy's Bridal in Cherry Hill. I found the service much better than David's.

Hi Heidi,

Yes, everything FINALLY fell into place. We ended up having to move the wedding back a few months, which I didn't really want to do, but it was necessary. Still having drama (my parents are saying they can't go), but I can't get caught up in everyone else! I am very excited to have booked it and have an official date. I am ordering the STD this week and I can't wait until they are mailed. I hope all is well with you. I haven't been on the board in like 2 weeks, I don't know how I stayed away, but i've just been busy! So it looks like I have alot of catching up to do.

Hey Carly -

Glad to hear the plans are made! I've been having tons of drama as well...but it seems to slowly but surely iron itself out. Reggie's parents just booked their travel, and they were also saying they couldn't afford to go.

What do your STD's look like?

Here is a pic of my STD's. My colors are orange, pink and blue. And finding the right color orange is hard! So I saw this a few months ago and haven't seen anything else that comes close to the shades that I want.

oooooh, I LOVE IT!!! I would've loved to go with orange, but Reggie hates the color!! Great STD's!
