OMG Heather!rofl.gif

Honestly, you just made my day -- for MANY reasons!:-)

I feel, after reading your experiences, that if we lived in the same city we would be BFF's and go out for martinis to laugh at all the problems we seem to have BOTH had during our DWs!;-)

Okay, so yes, many things sucked...and were just plain wacky...and awful (that poor guest who slipped and fell! I can't believe Canada wouldn't ship her blood! What is up with THAT?? What on Earth was the reason for this??)

But I digress...

I too had a HORRID salon experience that had to be corrected minutes before our ceremony...

AND, we also had so many communication problems the day-of it was ridiculous! Whether it was between us, our family, our friends, or the resort WC...just everything got mixed up :-) shitfan.gif

Actually, my DH just had a suggestion (I read him parts of your post:-))...

He thinks everyone should get those walkie-talkie things for the wedding day!

Seriously, that would have solved SO many problems for us! (and you too it sounds like:-))

We also had two weeks at our resort... but my DH basically told his family he was kicking them out of the country for the second week, thank GAWD:-)

I definitely think you two deserve some "alone" time... on the upside, at least you get another trip somewhere!:-)

Also, when I sent my DH for a mani/pedi the day of...the woman at the spa painted his toenails pink without asking/saying anything to him!

It was SO weird!

But his toes did make for a good coversation piece:-)

Anywaaay, congrats! As someone else posted earlier...at least you're now married to your sweetheart:-)

And since we don't live in the same city, I'll have a virtual drink with you here instead - shots.gif

:-)

Welcome Home and CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It sounds as if you had a wedding/honeymoon/trip that is beyond memorable. In fact, you, your family, and your friends will likely be laughing about the boat excursion for years to come. As for the wedding day folly, take it in stride. We can never plan for every SINGLE dilemma. We can simply roll with the punches and learn from them. As for the wedding ceremony and reception, it seems as though you were glowing...with much grace and dignity. I cannot wait to see your wedding pics and hear your review!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
