Hello!! I'm attempting to plan a destination wedding for June 09 but I'm having major problems deciding which resort to go with!! I think I have it narrowed down to Couples Negril, Couples Swept Away and Sandals Whitehouse. However.. i contacted Sandals today and I was informed that the only couples that were allowed to get married at sunset were those who had purchased the Preston Bailey Sunset pkg. ($3600!!!!) which I think is ridiculous. Its the second wedding for my FH and myself so I don't want it to be elaborate but special. No guests attending. Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Yikes, $3600 is a bit much, especially since you are having a small wedding. Maybe Couples will have some better options. I am getting married in Mexico, so unfortunatly I don't have too many details on Jamaica.. Are you working with a travel broker? They might be of some help too.

Congrats and welcome to the forum Keri!! Hmmm thats interesting that Sandals told you that. We had that slot offered to us and they did not say anything about HAVING to have that package. We actually ended up with an earlier time of 3pm. I would def check with a TA on booking with them. I was married at Beaches Negril and then HM'ed at Couples Swept Away. I think Couples would prob be a great option for you as it's just the 2 of you. Check out the reviews and look ... I know of 3 girls here that got married at CSA. Happy planning!

Hey grab a paddle cause we are in the same boat lol except I have other people coming...originally we were gonna have it just "us" but when family/friends started finding out, they wanted to join...anywho, check out the Sandals thread on the forum and see what those girls have to say...if it was just us two, I would be picking one of those three also. My cousin just went to Sandals Whitehouse for a vacay and loved it

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
