Wedding Cakes in Cabo

I adore cupcakes! In fact, they are my favorite dessert. Frequently I get cupcake cravings at night and have to go to one of the local bakeries here and get them!

I was also totally set for getting cupcakes for my wedding ... BUT when I asked the hotel how much it would be, they said it would be MORE expensive than the cake!!!! I was in disbelief. I tried to negotiate them down but no luck. (I don't even remember the number now, it was so long ago.) But I was really disappointed and am just going ot have a regular cake b/c it's cheaper. sad.gif

I LOVE the cupcake idea! And arranging them on a stand like that with flowers will be beautiful and should surely suffice your dad.

Further to the above suggestion, I've had cakes from Costco before and they're sooo good and VERY reasonably priced! So that may definately be something to consider!
has anyone been to the Costco in Cabo to see if they have cupcakes... I wonder if they do. I'm sure they would be reasonably priced and it sounds like they would be pretty delicious too!

$3 a cupcake seems very reasonable! If you have a chance could you send me her contact info? You can post it here, send me a private message or send it to my username at hotmail dot com. That would be wonderful!

i love cupcakes too...before the wedding i was "dieting" and working out like a maniac..BUT not losing any weight...i started fraking out at my trainer about how i was always starving but not losing any weight so he had me write down everything i was eating...

i would complain to my hubby as well...when steve saw the list he totally started laughing....he said i ate dessert with everymeal thats why i wasnt losing any weight. he also told me he found the chocolate cupcake wrappers in the car...he totally busted me...this bakery near my work has the yummiest black tie cupcakes...chocolate w/ cream cheese frosting...yummy....

Here is the list of petit fours that Jennifer Hatton sent to me:

*lemon squares

*Chocolate bomb brownie squares

*cheesecake bites

*chocolate encased strawberries

*Profiterolls filled with most any flavour

I am not sure of the price per piece, but presume it's somewhere between $2-$4 per piece.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
