Negril Cliffs - ceremony/reception only?

Recommended Posts

I have been looking at pictures of weddings that were held on the cliffs and they look amazing! It's exactly what I would picture for my wedding! Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that I will end up picking one of the larger AIs though (for a variety of family reasons) so I had figured that a cliff's wedding wouldn't be possible. But there may be hope! I've been checking different threads to see which resorts have hosted this kind of event come across one at Negril Escape. I see that the Caves will host non-guest weddings but it wouldn't be in my price range. I've checked out the websites of some other cliffs resort but the wedding section isn't always explicit about this. Does anyone know of other resorts that will hold wedding parties only? I will contact each resort but I was hoping to make a short list first with help from this awesome forum :)

Hey Girl,

I'm having my wedding with about 60 guests at Rockhouse Hotel on the cliffs. It's pricey, but cheaper than The Caves. Look into it.

Tensing Penn is also lovely, but they have way to many set up fees and other hidden fees. Not cool. The WC was also a mess, so I went against it.

Catch A Falling STAR is peerrrfect for a small intimate wedding. Had it not been for my number of guests I would have gone there.  I'm having my rehearsal dinner there. I can't wait. The WCs are also really really great.

I went to a 130+ person wedding at Negril Escape last year. The wedding itself was beautiful, but this is def a 2-3 star hotel. The pool is ANCIENT. You'll get the most for your money here, but def not the greatest accomodations.

I visited XTABI as well, and it was def not up to standard. 2 star accommodations, at best.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
