We did a version on "Lovesavers" with our monogram on it

You can see them in the basket on the left hand side..

It was VERY easy! Just too a measurement of the wrapper on the mints, scaled my monogram down to size, printed them out, cut them into the size and shape of the wrapper, and then rolled and taped! Easy and cheap! And everyone loved having mints after dinner...

atrott - where did you get the personalized margarita mix? that would be super cute

We're doing welcome bags - we are going to put postcards, maps, tequila bottles, mini sunscreen, evian mister, mini asprin bottles, local candies....that's it so far

We are going to put wooden fans in the church

and then we are going to use the macaras as our table settings

thoughts / purchases so far:

- ceramic/stainless steel mugs upon arrival

- marachas by mishka at each chair of ceremony, with tug

- personalized water at ceremony

- pashminas for ladies, cigars for guys at reception

- if I can find them cheap a couple fedora hats as well for reception

problem that I am having is I already got some pashminas in New York a month ago and since our confirmed list increased, so now I am short about 8 pashminas, I hope I can find the exact colour and size online!

We did out of town bags filled with snacks that we pruchased at the WalMart in Playa del Carmen.  When your guests are staying in a resort, they will be happy to have some munchies in their room.  For the wedding, we mounted the program on bamboo fans.  The program was simple, so it worked!

I am an asthmatic so the idea of a cigar roller sounds downright awful...plus they smell terrible to me. Remember just because you might like them to be considerate to your guests. I would be put off....but then again if you're outside it might not be so bad.

Were doing weekend survival kits ( advil, lint rollers, gum, sunscreen etc) in lieu of OOT bag since waterbottles and snacks already are free for an all inclusive. Were handing those out at a night before cocktail hour then day of we bought these cute wine toppers and I bought these tags in ivory on ebay that I will tie to each one and provide those to our guests at the reception. We decided to have our reception in the wine cellar so it ties in to beach and wine theme well.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
