I think its rude of your FMIL to even ask if it is okay for this lady to bring an extra guest. Dont people know that you are only to bring 1 guest to a wedding? Hopefully it will be sorted out for ya!!

Geesh! This is a wedding not a keg-party!

I mean what the hell! Who the hell are these people she's trying to bring (that's what I'd really like to know!)?

what I don't get is why would someone that doesn't know you want to go to a random persons wedding, that they weren't even invited to, thats just weird!

Absolutely not. It is rude to invite other people when the invite specifically states "guest", as in singular not plural.

I'm dealing with a family member that I just met a couple years ago and have seen only three times in my life, who has now invited herself and her new husband to our wedding at Dreams. Newsflash...you were not invited. I know it probably sounds harsh but only close friends and immediate family were invited. I barely know this woman. It gets better...she is trying to use this as her honeymoon...the same time we will be on ours. Is this rude or what?

That is more than rude! Does this family member need attention so much that they need to steal someone's else's thunder? And why would you want to have your honeymoon with all of your extended family? I don't get it.
