Review of everything for my Vegas Wedding

Recommended Posts

So finally here's some opinion of the wedding that we had in Vegas...

We got married at the Vegas Wedding Chapel (across from the licensing bureau). All I can say about them is that it was clean inside and out. They day before and after we drove by some other chapels that we had considered. The Chapels we looked at (Little Chapel of the Flowers, Viva Las Vegas, Graceland, etc.) were in very dirty parts of town. Some looked as if they were actually attached to cheap motels. I would have been horrified if I arrived on my wedding day and saw what I saw there.

Here's the pictures from wedding:

Typical of all of the chapels they do take you into a room and try to sell you more pictures. What I did appreciate about this is that they do tell you up front on the website and in their brochure that they will do this.

We had photographer meet us there

Toner Photography, wedding photographer, photographer, portraits, modeling, las vegas photographer,

Michelle was absolutely amazing and I can't say enough about her. She agreed to 1 hour of photos and she ended up taking about 3 hours. I never thought that the photos would ever come out as good as they did.

Here's a few books that I put together with the pics.

We stayed at The MGM Signature and absolutely loved it! It was beautifully clean and new. The noise level was very low. It was not as far off of the strip as I thought it would and once you walked to block to the strip (or through the MGM) everything was right there. I highly recommend!

We took suggestions and ate at the Pampas the night before. Big mistake! The women were up all night sick because of the food (we think undercooked meat or something). So I only got 1 hour of sleep the night/morning of my wedding!

We ate at Rosemary's the day of the wedding. Absolutely wonderful! Great food, great prices, fabulous serivice. They gave us a free dessert b/c of the wedding. Also, Wed night is lady's night so the 3 women ate for 1/2 price. With 2 rounds of drinks and desserts it came to about $480 with tips for 4 people. This was a 3 course meal for all of us and desserts. It's worth the trip off the strip!

Maddame Tusseauds: Worth it only if you have discount tickets. Fun but not large and the figures are outdated somewhat.

The best place we ate was the Seafood Buffet at the Rio. Again off the strip but absolutely the best buffet we have ever been, too.

If I think of anything else to rate or if you have questions, let me know.

Kim

Great review and very helpful. Did you use the Vegas Wedding Chapel on S 3rd Street?? If so did you use the Chapel or Terrace? I have been looking at the pics on their website but would like to know what its really like inside. Thanks.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
