Wedding Color Crisis

Recommended Posts

I think you are fine as well. I used pink, orange and blue as my colors, but brown could easily have been in there as well. So you can continue using brown and blue and use pink and orange flowers, with a blue ribbon or something.

Thanks for all the links!

I can't do coral...I just can't. I don't have anything specifically against coral, it's just really not "me." I don't even think I own any pastel colored clothing! For flowers I really want something with this kinda vibe:

I found mummergirl's gallery link fairly inspiring b/c there were a lot of "crazy" but beautiful bouquets in there. I'm wondering now if I should do something like the bouquet above, but with blue? Maybe that's too much and I should just go with a chocolate ribbon :S

Carly, I looked at your photos, and your wedding looking great, but you actually integrated all your colors really well. If I'm going to have lots of colors in my bouquets, should I try to incorporate those colors elsewhere as well?

I think that pink that is in your picture you just posted would be great with chocolate and blue! I would do less green though if possible, just my personal opinion. And probably with a blue ribbon.

I don't think you need to incorporate colors from your bouquet elsewhere, but if you want to you could. Originally, my colors were blue and orange, I only incorporated pink b/c finding JUST blue and orange things was challenging. So it's all a personal preference. You can use pink as your flowers and no where else and it would be completely fine.

ok, so i just did a really quick and poor quality bouquet photoshops. I had to use a laptop trackpad, so just pretend they look real.

Here's the same bouquet with brown and blue ribbon...does it look weird?

In this image the "blue flowers" were actually yellow, and the dress was white, but I wanted to test the color combo (I would do less green). I'm not sure I can get blue flowers, but it's worth looking into I think.

based on pictures of the bouquet, you may want to match the chroma (intensity) of the blue with the fuscia- aqua with a punch, and not soft, baby blue.

You can use blue ribbon, but I would get rid of the brown ribbon. ALso, lose the blue flowers. They don't match the palette of the bouquet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
