First off, Congrats! Babies are a blessing! I just want you to know that I had the EXACT same things doneto me that you had that you're worried about....I had my son in October of 07 just 1 year after having my cone biopsy. I carried him full term and then some. They do check your cervix EVERY visit. Don't be worried and remember things happen for a reason.

Now you can check the "mommies to be" thread!

Awwww!! SO happy that FI reacted like the man he is obviously! You got a good one there and you guys are going to be FABULOUS!

DO yourself a favor and don't research too much before seeing your doc. Believe me, it will just drive you crazy and you don't need the stress. I know it's hard..just stay positive, and expect things to be absolutely perfect. CONGRATULATIONS!

yay, I'm so glad your fiance reacted so well! I think what you need to do right away is go and talk to your doctor (although I'm sure you're already planning to). You won't be able to make any proper decisions until you know how pregnant you are and what is safe based on your past medical history.

I think it's all going to work out fine, and that you'll have a fabulous year! Congrats again :)

Congratulations to you and your FI. Being a mom is such a wonderful experience. I would do what is best for you, your FI and your baby. Don't worry to much about your family and guests...they will understand and a baby is always such a blessing to a family. Talk with your doctor and he/she should be able to advise you.

We have our first doctor appointment on Monday, March 2nd, which is only one week away, thank God!

I have done one of those due date calendars and it looks like I might be 11 weeks along now. That is further than I thought . . . which certainly means we will definitely be moving up the date.

My man has really handled this whole thing so well! I think he is excited, too, even though it throws us into a bit of a tailspin. He keeps looking at my belly and rubbing it! He left to go back an fly another trip, and kissed my belly before he left today.

We were already having family drama on his side with the fact that we were doing a destination wedding, so this is likely to bring more, especially given the fact that I am pregnant and we are not yet married (his family is VERY Catholic and can be judgemental). I can only imagine what the future step-monster-in-law will do with this information. I am sure that I will be blamed for this "change of events". Screw her.

I am upset with the fact that some people will not be able to come now - all my friends will still be teaching college if we move up the date. Also, some of fiancee's family has already bought tickets for our date, which is going to piss them off. Amazingly enough, we did not buy tickets yet, so we don't have any issues with that.

I am thinking I might still be able to wear my dress if we get married the end of April. The question is, when do I get it tailored now? I haven't done anything yet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
