ROR selling out?

Hey,

Has anyone ever run into the hotel or flights selling out before your whole group has booked? I know we will have some people booking late and am wondering how likely it is for the hotel to sell out before they all book. We are going the end of June which should be less busy but I'm wondering if anyone has run into this problem?

Thanks.

we booked Feb 2008 to go April 2009!!! But we are in the UK and if you have a big party you're best booking when the prices come out. When the dates became available for the wedding there wasn't much to choose from - over a year away!!

But from what I can gather, from America/Canada there seems to be lots of flights etc available to you - far more than for the UK

I booked May 2008 for april 2009. We had alot of people book right away because of the threat of the fuel surcharge coming into effect. AND we put 6 extra deposits sown just for the stragglers.

By the summer the week of April 18-25th was sold out completely!

I think there is another wedding party departing from Halifax at the same time so seats went fast.

We are departing from Halifax too!

We had problems but most likely because we decided to go so quick! We decided in January to quickly go and get married before I was too pregnant to fly. Half of our guests are from Nova Scotia and half from Sask (where we are). We have kids coming so we were trying to work around a school schedule. We were originally aiming for your guys spring break in March but couldn't get enough seats. Then we were trying for Easter Break and not enough seats. Finally we all decided to go April 25th (last possible time I can fly). My FH parents in NS booked their seats on the Friday, we went in on Monday to book the Sask relatives (9 in total) and there were only 8 seats left! and my FH parents still had not booked for their side of the family (5 more). So as it is right now half the guests are going on the 25th and half (including me and FH are going on the 27th) . It was a big gong show but in the end we will all get to spend 5 days together at least lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
