Do I really need to reserve/book things in advance?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have been reading alot on here how people have already booked resturant times, hair appointments, flowers etc.

I am a little confused because when I first talked to Chandlyn she gave me the impression that we decide on all of that when we get there and to relax and not worry about it now. Should I really worry about those details now?? We went with the free wedding package and are going to have a reception at the Mammee bay resturant.

Thoughts anyone?

Kari:)

Hi Kari! Since there are 3 weddings per day booking becomes essential for the more "structured" bride such as myself. I haven't made any hair appts but I have confirmed the poolside reception for my guests since I wasn't sure of the availability. Call me a bit controlling but I like to be assured that things will go as planned :.)

But Im sure that everything works out in the end. We arn't going to decide on the bands and what not till we get there.

Im getting married the same day as you, but at Riu Palace Tropical Bay. My WC emailed me a month ago about booking my dinner reservations. So Ive booked my reception and I booked my hair/makeup appt at Renova Spa today. They suggested to book early, rather than later. That's all Ive done.

I definitely recommend advance booking as you may have an issue with dinner reservations if you donâ€t. I booked my dinner reservation and spa about 7 months in advance to be in the safe side. I knew I would be upset if I had the later seating. Contact Chandlyn and let her know what you wish to confirm. If you are renting the hall/disco, I would reserve that as well in advance.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
