I hear Charleston is beautiful! But I also heard their are roaches and palmetto bugs everywhere! My MOH's friend lives in Summerville and she said I would flip out in Charleston because of the "palmies" (this is what we call the huge bugs) but it looks so beautiful, I really want to visit!

Sincerely,

Joanna... the palmie-phobic! wink.gif

IOP (Isle of Palms) photography: There is something like a $5000 fine if caught for pro photographers on the beach there. My friend who is getting married there is technically getting married back on the grassy part and then literally running on to the beach for some quick pics and then getting right off! I had no idea they were so strict there!

Charleston Grill is really nice, and really good! Expensive, but it's your wedding :). Good location too... you should also check out Peninsula Grill, it is VERY popular both with Charlestonians and out of towners: http://www.peninsulagrill.com/

I am not sure about the awning... have you found a florist? They might be able to help? Our favorite florist is Tiger Lily, I don't know many others: http://www.tigerlilyweddings.com/
Thank you so much for all of your help. I think I have officially crossed off the IOP beach, way too strict. I haven't looked into a florist yet, but I'm going to check Tiger Lily out. The Peninsula grill looks nice, that is definitely an option. Thanks again!

So glad I found this thread! I am getting married on Sullivan's Island in July of next year. So far I can't find much info on the photography thing, I know it says no COMMERCIAL photogs but I would assume if a relative was doing it (for free wink.gif ) that it'd be ok.

So you have any suggestions for hotels in that area? are you familiar with Sullivan's Island?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
