finally my dress is in

Recommended Posts

so when I ordered my gown back in the beginning of september last year, I was told that my dress would only take at the most 12 weeks, worst case 16 weeks. So the beginning of January, I called after the first of the year and they gave me a delivery date of the 23rd, so the 24th I called and they were giving me the run around. You see they had a flood in the store and had to put a stop on all shipments until the store was ready to accept deliveries and have a safe place to store them. When I called they tried to tell me that the 23rd was the ship date and that it should be within two weeks, I was also told at this time that this dress was being made in China and they shut down the factories for the holidays (over christmas that is). Now I already knew they had a flood so I waited 2 weeks and called back, now I am upset and asked to find out some answers, the sales lady said she would have the manager look into it and get back to me. that was on monday, on thursday I still hadn't heard anything. I called back, I was told by my sales lady that her manager had made a phone call and sent an email to the supplier and waas waiting to hear back from them. I wasn't happy and asked for the manager to call me the next day. What do you know she found out it was being shipped from Utah that day because they finally released the hold on shipments because the store was ready again to recieve shipments.

Now I don't know why they just tell me that in first place, I would have been patient.

anyways I can't wait, I want to run over and put it on and see exactly how it looks. but they close before i get out of work most days, I hope to get there tomorrow night.

sorry this was so long

I thought my daughter was the only one with a "horror story" about the dress not coming in. She ordered her dress in mid-August & just heard this week that it finally has come. Today I am going with her for her first fitting...can't wait to see it on her, I'm sure there will be many tears shed !!

I'm thinking someone forgot to order it the first time & when we started calling at Christmas time to find out where it was, they placed the order. BUT, what could we do except wait. I'm sure once she has tried it on, all our anger about the "mistake" will fade away. I'm a firm believer in "don't sweat the small stuff" and that has gotten my thru this far.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
