I was JUST going to start a thread about this! I googled some info on making your own bouquet (they were all with real flowers but I doubt it would be any different) and it looks pretty easy. I still haven't purchased my real touch flowers though and I'm not sure which vendor to use or how many flowers I need.

I'm really only doing it because they don't really get anemones in Mexico (well, there's a slim chance but I'd need a backup flower just in case), and I really want these for my bouquets. So I'm just gonna make my own! The bonus is that you will know exactly what they're going to look like so that takes some stress out. But trying to get them to Mexico without ruining them might be a challenge.

There are so many books that I saw at Michael's that shows you how to make a bouquet, but I wanted to know if anyone here ever actually made one themselves. I am going to TRY...yes "TRY" to make my own. I grabbed some pictures that I liked of some bouquets..so we'll see...I saw a lot of real touch flowers at Michaels and you can also get them everywhere...on ebay, through some online websites..just google them and they're pretty cheap! As for bringing it along with you to the DW, I would suggest shipping it also in a box with the bubble wrap or the styrofoam "S" they look like! =)

I have not seen any real touch flowers at Michael's. They only have silk and some latex/plastic types. Real touch flowers are not that cheap. They can cost as much as real flowers or more. Roses go for about $5 a stem. Orchids are at least $10. Peonies (which I am using) at $5 wholesale, not sure about retail. Callas (the medium florimatique) are about $7.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
