  • 2 weeks later...

okay, I just posted my songlist for Julie in another thread and figured maybe I should post here too. I'm not quite done, I need more songs from "todays" music, right now I just have a lot of classic wedding songs, but I don't listen to a lot of dance type music, so if anyone has some suggestions for me I'd love to hear it. These are in random order and yes, I have a TON of songs, I'm sure we won't even listen to a lot of these, but better safe than sorry, right!?

Pre - ceremony

we are playing mexican music, I downloaded from itunes (if you want to know which music just pm me, but the titles are spanish and it will take me forever to type!)

Me Down the aisle

Bittersweet Symphony (Instrumental)

Together back down the aisle

I'm a Believer - Smash Mouth

Cocktail hour

we have a mariachi trio

Our song

Bless the Broken Road - Rascal Flatts

Dance with my dad

My Little Girl - Tim McGraw

Cake Cutting:

Tequila

Dinner Music

we wanted the dinner music to just be songs we loved, but that wouldn't be good dancing songs or that we didn't have room for in the playlist.

When the stars go blue - Tim McGraw

Sunday Morning - Maroon 5

Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now - Starship

Something Like That - Tim McGraw

We Belong - Pat Benetar

Making Memories of Us - Keith Urban

I have noticed that not one of you guys have one of the biggest party songs around. So, I am guessing its not big in the US. I will without a doubt have Home For A Rest by Spirit of the West on my playlist. It always gets the party started because everyone gets on the dance floor for this song. If you don't know it you should check it out. Just a thought.

I am so far behind, I am just looking through all these threads now trying to get something together. Wish me luck. lol

I guess cause they are a Canadian band its much bigger here than anywhere else. Its just a good drunken party song that is all. So it gets everyone dancing.

Here are my "must haves"

Brown Eyed girl- Requested by my sis and ma

Margaritaville- Jimmy Buffet (of course)

Shout!

Sweet Caroline- Neil Diamond (our "friends" theme song)

Runaround Sue- It's just a fun oldie

The lion sleeps tonight- for my Uncle

God only knows- The Beach Boys

That's all for now. I have so many favorites, it is hard for me to choose. I have to throw in some newer songs, but I have too many to pick from right now.. I will updated as I get closer to the DW.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
