Did you send any pre-wedding info?

Recommended Posts

We did both a website that we updated through out our wedding planning. We also sent out a pre-travel package with luggage tags, a booklet on excursions and a passport booklet with info on traveling to Mexico and about the resort. Our guests found it really helpful.

Since we didn't have a website, after everyones travel arrangements were finalized, I sent out travel booklets to everyone. It contained general info about Jamaica, the resort, events that we were hosting for the weekend, and then the wedding day timeline.

I agree with Jennifer that all of our guests found this info very useful. Since some of our guests had not been to Jamaica before, this was helpful because they knew what to expect in regards to the resorts dress code for certain restaurants, to the fact that there was a time change since we were in a diff time zone.

There are lots of templates on here that I'm sure you could borrow!

I sent out a huge pre-travel packet with all kinds of info, luggage tags, etc. Our guests found it really helpful and it enabled us to answer last minute questions. We had a really nice webiste, but people didn't follow it or check for updates very often.

I'll try to find the link for you.

This is what I did with my guests about two weeks prior to leaving. Our guests loved it and it helped answer some pre-travel questions they had too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
